Patricia Haverton
Patricia Haverton was born the eldest of three kids, and grew up believing that she would follow in her dad’s footsteps and pursue a career in science. But her worldview changed once she decided to explore her British mom’s roots.
The trip to her ancestral lands solidified her conviction that she had discovered her real calling in the romanticism of the Era of Queens and Kings.
Patricia is a hopeless romantic and is a firm believer in the idea of soulmates, and changed the course of her life and decided to get a degree in Psychology and Creative Writing. Like she jokingly says so often, she lives in the past now, where love shows the way and Dukes save the day!
When she is not weaving her stories where love prevails, she enjoys spending time with her husband, roaming around the British countryside.
“The Haunted Knight of Lady Canterley” is a stand alone novel that was released in 2019. It is horrifying, dangerous. It could all fall apart, however what happens if it all falls together?
The atmosphere could not be more festive at Canterley Manor with their young lady’s impending nuptials fast approaching. Then this one day, their happiness turns to ashes in their mouths.
Lady Amelia Dowding will do anything to find her sister Grace, who has inexplicably vanished. Determined to honor her promise to her late mom, she takes matters into her own hands.
For Tristan Knight, the Earl of Aylesbury, loving Amelia unrequitedly comes just as natural as breathing does. When it becomes more apparent that she is in grave danger, he’ll stop at nothing in order to ensure her safety. Even if this means his own heartbreak.
When their trail takes them to the wilderness of Scotland, this unexpected ally points them in the right direction: the key to Grace’s abduction is hiding in the vaults at Canterley Manor.
“Perfectly Mismatched with the Duke” is a stand alone novel that was released in 2019. She swore to never love and he swore he’d love her until the end of time.
Alexandra Evans, matchmaker extraordinaire, lives by a single rule. Never fall in love. Having watched her mom wilt away right after her dad’s untimely passing, she’s vowed to dedicate herself to her flourishing business and never fall victim to such a painful loss.
Maxwell Hayes, the Duke of Gatterlen, feels like an ensnared hare once his mom tells him she’s found a suitable match for him. That is up until he meets the matchmaker that is tasked with making it all happen.
With her walls crumbling one at a time, courtesy of a dashing Duke, and somebody ransacking her home, Alexandra decides this just may be the first match she is going to walk away from. But she never gets the chance to. And once he starts looking for her, all that is left behind for Maxwell to find is a single silver pendant.
“A Most Unsuitable Bride for the Marquess” is a stand alone novel that was released in 2020. Their love was like coasl: deep burning and unquenchable. Even love has got an expiration date, particularly one that’s unrequited.
Ophelia Travers, in the service of the Fitzgerald family ever since birth, has been in love with the Marquess of Alden her entire life. After she suffered through years of rejection, a charming new servant’s arrival marks the end. She is determined to leave the past behind her.
Marcus Fitzgerald, the Marquess of Alden, was taught that he deserves the best. Resolved to maintain his family’s stellar reputation, he cuts her out of his life.
But his worst fears become a reality once his mom begins getting threatening letters. Amidst a wild goose chase in order to get answers before the culprit is able to act on their threats, Marcus risks losing not just Ophelia but also his own identity. His mom’s been running away from something horrible. And finally it caught up with her.
“Midnight Bargain of a Runaway Marchioness” is a stand alone novel that was released in 2021. When her mom sneaks inside her bedroom at night and begs her to flee, Lady Rhodeia wastes zero time. With just a small bundle and only the clothes she’s wearing, she runs away hoping against hope that her betrothed is unable to ever find her.
There are a couple of things that Emmet MacLachlan (Marquess of Maynardshire) hates above everything else: the matchmaking and the Season. Mad at his meddling mom, he hopes that taking a night ride is going to calm the beast that’s in his gut. Up until he finds this injured woman out during the middle of a storm.
With Rhodeia’s real identity hanging up above them just like the executioner’s ax, Emmet is determined to escape along with her off to Scotland and begin fresh. A plan which soon goes sour once Rhodeia’s dad announces a bounty for her. And unbeknownst to all of them, the beast which is clawing at Emmet’s gut has got bone, flesh, and a heart made from stone.
No cliffhangers, no cheating, and a sweet happily ever after.
“Safe in the Arms of the Marquess” is a stand alone novel that was released in 2022. There’s just one reason that Lady Hazel has debuted this season: it’s to find the guy that is responsible for the scandal which caused her family’s ruination and her dad’s death. There can’t be any distractions on her quest, particularly once she has a lead finally.
Daniel Richards, the Marquess of Dunwich, has led a comfortable life, almost devoid of all meaning. Up until he met Hazel, that is. And even her accusation against his own dad doesn’t do much to quench the fire that is igniting inside of him.
It’ll take quite a lot for them to unveil the villain that’s responsible. It’ll take even more to avoid falling in love along the way.
If you like loving Duchesses, powerful Dukes, and a marvelous portrayal of the majestic Regency and Victorian era, then this is the novel for you.
