Tales to Tickle the Funnybone is a series of children’s novels by American author Gary Paulsen. Paulsen has said that one of the novels, Harris and Me is autobiographical.
Gary Paulsen began the Tales to Tickle the Funnybone series in 1990 with the novel The Boy Who Owned the School. The series lasted six books, up to The Amazing Life of Birds: The Twenty-Day Puberty Journal of Duane Homer Leech in 2006. The books can be read in any order, as each book is a standalone novel.
