She is a contemporary romance novel writer whose history I can assure you had nothing to do with romance. She grew up travelling the world and unlike most of us has had the pleasure of living in more than six countries. She had four older brothers who nurtured her.

As a girl she was expected to play with Barbie dolls, join ballet dancing and the likes but all these she preferred to stay tucked in her closet. She had lived with her brothers and picked up the habit of watching every star trek movie ever produced. When she was old enough she joined the softball team and played with the boys.

She initially started out as a simple marketing bachelor’s degree owner. She worked in the business world and was good at it for twenty five years. She worked in a corporate job in Dallas. She was married and had three sons of her own. This is where she decided to dive into the world of reading romantic novels so as to escape her male dominated world something she has never done before. This is what helped her to have some girl time. She was so hooked that she decided to start writing her own novels in order to share her amazing experience with the rest of the world. This was at a time when she was in New Mexico that she started building up love stories that she would have loved to write if she got the chance to.

Initially before deciding that she was finally going to sit down and start writing she had a routine that mainly involved the family. She helped to run the family business, assisted her sons during field trips, school functions and the likes, laundry was definitely not to be forgotten about. If you have ever lived with three boys who are growing up so fast then you definitely understand what laundry in that kind of house feels like.

Her turning point in life however came when she found out that she had breast cancer. Months of treatment and worst moments of your life because of side effects left her tired and in pain. But she finally survived the bout of invasive cancer and after that decided to now begin sharing her dreams with the rest of the world before it was too late. She then bought her first laptop just for the purpose of writing down her ideas and stories.

She did not completely abandon her other motherly duties. She currently enjoys taking care of her family including taking care of a schnauzer named Omer, a tiny toy poodle called Mozart, her now teenage boys who have learnt to do their laundry and a pet boa named Zeus.

Her stories are about strong independent heroes and heroines and have a lot of real life issue that many of us can relate to with unexpected twists and humor you will love.

Her hobbies includes keeping up with historical events, hiking, always giving back to the community by donating royalties from each book to charity, watching television shows like ‘Breaking Bad’, ‘Blue Bloods’, ‘Downtown Abbey’ and ‘The Walking Dead’, and impressive of all she loves wearing hats.

She started out by writing three historical books before finding her passion in romance novels and she hopes to one day hike in the Grand Canyon.

Shelly was a nominee for the Golden Heart Award in 2014 for her tireless efforts.

She has written a book series including ‘It’s in his heart’ and ‘it’s in his touch’. This is a book, it’s in his heart that once you start reading you will not be able to put it down. The lady has a secret and has retreated into a quiet town to mourn the loss of her first lover. She simply wants a quiet summer retreat. Maybe she can finally get the time to finish her third book that is usually anonymously written. In it’s in his touch a woman who in her entire life has never faced something she could not bring herself to face. That is until now that her beloved husband does the one thing she never saw coming. This is until the case get a face that will be on the losing side if she does her job right. One of the people she is against is a handsome young neighbor of hers.
