Motivating the reader, she is a gifted novelist who definitely knows how to uplift her audience, whilst essentially taking them on a journey. The stories that Johnson creates are hugely immersive, as her skills at establishing a sense of location are clearly evident on each and every page. Early and Personal Life

Born and raised with a love of literature, Shanae Johnson grew up watching After School Specials and Saturday Morning Cartoons. This style would be something that would come to inspire her and her writing heavily, seeking to impart a clear message in her work. Focusing on inspirational romance novels, many of her books would be warm and welcoming with something to say.

Imparting life-lessons, she’s a gifted novelist who would come to write in a direct manner that immediately got to the point. Looking to write wholesome stories too, she would refine and hone her voice over time, coming to discover her own unique approach to the genre. Currently still writing to this very day, she continues to put out work regularly, with a lot more to come yet.

Writing Career

Starting out back in 2018, Shanae Johnson would begin her literary career with the novel ‘On His Bended Knee.’ This book would also start the ‘Brides of Purple Heart Ranch,’ which would be a much loved romance collection of novels. Linking them all thematically, they would be set in the same area with many of the characters intertwining, but would also be stand-alone romances.

Several of Johnson’s other series would follow on in a similar fashion, such as ‘Rangers of Purple Heart Ranch,’ ‘Silver Star Ranch,’ ‘Pemberley Ranch,’ and ‘Flying Cross Ranch.’ She would also contribute to other people’s romances series too, including ‘Hidden Hollows’ in 2020, and ‘Indigo Bay Christmas Romances’ in 2020. Maintaining a strong presence in the literary world, she carries on growing as a writer, with her career continuing to move onwards and upwards.

His Permanent Scar

First published through the Kindle platform in 2018 on the 20th of December, this would provide another romance in ‘The Brides of Purple Heart Ranch.’ It’s a stand-alone romance, although it’s set in the same world as before, so there are intertwining narratives and cameos. The books themselves don’t need to necessarily be read in order, although there’s plenty for those fans returning to enjoy.

Leaving the US army a hero, Sean Jeffries is racked with regret regardless after being unable to prevent a child suicide bomber leaving him and dozens of others wounded. Then there’s Ruhi, his nurse, who provides him with the solace he needs, but then she finds herself in trouble leading to him needing to save the day again. Now she finds herself pregnant after leaving her last boyfriend, leading to a marriage of convenience being proposed. Will things change though, and will their feeling develop, can Sean overcome his haunted past and nightmares, and what will become of his permanent scar?

Whilst this book provides plenty of escapism with its passionate romance, it’s definitely a heartfelt story too. The characters have real motivations, and the story is well paced, making for a highly compelling story every single step of the way. It’s easy to get into, making it a great casual read, and one that will delight both fans of the romance genre, as well as of the author.

The Duke and the DJ

Originally released back in 2019 on the 16th of April, this would initially run under the subtitle of ‘A Sweet Royal Romance.’ This romance does what it says on the cover, with it providing a straightforward relationship that heart-warming and features royals. It’s also the third in ‘The Rebel Royals’ series of novels, which are all similarly themed, and can be read in any order.

Looking to save his ancestral home, Diego Zhi Wen de Bernadino is hoping to wed to save his legacy as the Duke of Mondego. His father wants him to marry blue-blood in order to prevent the home being lost, but he’d rather marry for love, as he’s sent to woo a tech billionaire at a party she’s hosting in Cordoba. Looking to help is DJ Spin d’Elle, as she’s left the monied life behind her, but soon a bond grows between them both. Will they overcome their differences and end up together, can Diego save his legacy, and what will become of the Duke and the DJ?

The story-line is great with a compelling narrative that fully draws the reader in, holding them there for the duration of the novel. Fun and escapist, it has everything that a fan of the genre could possibly want from such a novel, with some great characters at the heart of it. It’s also a well crafted story that hits all the right beats along the way, making it a must for any followers of the author too.
