Nantucket Beach Plum Cove series by Pamela M. Kelley
Author Pamela M. Kelley writes the “Nantucket Beach Plum Cove” series of novels.

The series stars a recently widowed woman, named Lisa Hodges, and what she does to support herself after her husband dies, and leaves behind a mountain of gambling debts.

“The Nantucket Inn” is the first novel in the “Nantucket Beach Plum Cove” series and was released in 2019. Lisa Hodges has to make a fast choice. Thanks to her deceased husband’s gambling addiction, her bank account is low. In her early fifties with a huge and waterfront home on Nantucket for her to support, she’s not worked in more than thirty years, doesn’t have any in-demand skills and is virtually unemployable.

Her sole options are to sell the off this house and move off the island, or she could use her entertaining and cooking skills and turn this home of hers into a B&B. She desperately needs the business to succeed since she’s got four adult kids with issues of their own and she wants to remain close to each of them.

Kate, her oldest daughter, has this fabulous career in Boston, working as a writer for this popular fashion magazine and is engaged to this dangerously handsome photographer, that nobody’s met yet.

Kristen, Kate’s twin and a local artist, is growing frustrated with her relationship with this separated and older businessman. Abby, the youngest daughter, is happily married to her high school sweetheart, and they have been attempting to have a baby. But it’s just not happened yet, and Abby wonders about it being this sign that their marriage might not be as perfect as everybody seems to think.

“Nantucket Neighbors” is the second novel in the “Nantucket Beach Plum Cove” series and was released in 2019. Meet widow Lisa Hodges and her four adult kids, visitors, and friends to this newly opened waterfront bed and breakfast. She’s been loving renting out her second floor rooms. Rhett became more than a friend. But in her early fifties, it seems odd to her calling him her boyfriend, yet that’s still what he is.

Her daughter, Kristen, ended things finally with Sean, the separated guy that nobody in the family was too excited about. It was not until she was starting to move on, that he went and filed for divorce, and then begged for another chance. So she gave him one, much to the dismay of everybody. However then the next door cottage was sold, and she learns who her next door neighbor will be.

Chase, the only male in the family, has never been all that serious about anybody before. However he’s suddenly become withdrawn and has been secretive about who it is that he has been seeing, which just makes everybody all the more curious. When they learn who it is, concern begins growing since nobody wants to see Chase get hurt again.

Paige, Lisa’s best friend, has got a new neighbor as well and it is one that she is decidedly not enthused about. Violet was a woman that stood up at town meetings and opposed Lisa’s inn getting approved by the selectmen. Because the house is located next door, Paige is unable not to notice the steady traffic. Violet appears to be rather popular with a bunch of people.

Her inn’s doing well and bookings have been up, however then a Friday night, a guest who prepaid to stay the entire weekend never showed up. And several people, including the cops, coming knocking and want answers.

“Nantucket White Christmas” is the third novel in the “Nantucket Beach Plum Cove” series and was released in 2019. Visit Nantucket’s Beach Plum Cove Inn for a feel good holiday tale.

Angela Stark, who was born on Christmas, has always hated this holiday. Bad things seem to always happen to her and this year isn’t any exception when she gets evicted and fired on December 1. She was working and living as a maid in San Francisco. Who would hire her during this time of the year, particularly if they learned why she got fired?

Sam is her only family. He’s an exceptionally vocal and elderly kitty. Her sole option is to stay with Jane (her best friend) temporarily, however she’s extremely allergic to cats. Not ideal, no, however it does not seem as though as she has much of a choice, until this certified letter comes which changes everything for her.

Next thing she knows, and Sam are flying off to Nantucket, which is a place that they have never been before. It is meant to only be a temporary stay. However she then meets the Hodges family and friends, which makes her start questioning where her home truly is.

“A Nantucket Affair” is the fourth novel in the “Nantucket Beach Plum Cove” series and was released in 2020. Everybody believed they had the perfect marriage, however things just aren’t always as they seem.

Lisa Hodges thought Sue, her best friend, had this dream marriage. She’d married her high school sweetheart and business partner, Curt. She never doubted the guy once after they’d been married for thirty-five years, until Brandi Morgan joined their thriving insurance company. Brandi is blonde, fifteen years younger, and beautiful, and she’s excellent at her account manager job. Business is up and all of the clients love her. Sue even liked her quite a lot too, until the rumors began.

It started with the island’s biggest charity gathering, A Nantucket Affair, which came with a catered dinner and dancing on the beach.
