Order of Macdonald Hall Books
Macdonald Hall is a series of young adult novels by Canadian-American novelist Gordon Korman. The series is set in a boys’ boarding school called MacDonald Hall, located just outside of Toronto. The main characters are Bruno Walton and Melvin “Boots” O’Neal, who enjoy stirring up trouble in their school and for the headmaster, William R. Sturgeon (aka “The Fish”). The series is also known as Bruno and Boots.
Gordon Korman began his Macdonald Hall series in 1978 with the novel This Can’t Be Happening at Macdonald Hall (also published as simple This Can’t Be Happening). The series lasted seven novels, concluding in 1995 with the novel Something Fishy at Macdonald Hall. Notes: This Can’t Be Happening at Macdonald Hall was later released under the shorter title of This Can’t Be Happening. The War with Mr. Wizzle was later re-titled The Wizzle War. Macdonald Hall Goes Hollywood is also known as Lights, Camera, Disaster!. Something Fishy at Macdonald Hall was also published as The Joke’s On Us.
