About Lidiya Foxglove
A fantasy and paranormal romance author, the novelist Lidiya Foxglove is well known for her imaginative and immersive worlds and stories. Taking the readers on a journey, she really is a writer with a lot to offer, as not only does she create rich and expansive universes, but she also creates colorful characters. Often using the classic fairy tale as her template, she definitely understands where to take it, allowing her own ideas to shine through. Coupling this with romantic relationships, she’s created something else that’s quite different, really standing out in the process.
There’s an air of seductive magic surrounding her stories, with them being given an ethereal ambiance that’s quite different. The worlds are darkly evocative, giving her audience a sense of foreboding that washes over them as they’re reading. This has seen her becoming hugely successful around the world, with many readers being drawn to her work from a variety of different backgrounds. Becoming a household name for many, she’s a regular bookshelf fixture for an ever increasing audience, with her series often continuing.
The characters that she creates are also well established, as they stay with the reader long after they’ve finished the novel. There’s also often a strong undercurrent of passion to her stories too, giving her narratives a real sense of texture to them. On top of that they’re extremely addictive, in that they’re difficult to put down, constantly keeping the reader glued to the page. This is something that she is going to carry on doing for a long time to come, with plenty more books planned for release on the horizon.
Early and Personal Life
Growing up with a strong interest in fairy tales, Lidiya Foxglove would show a keen passion in both reading and writing. Immersing herself in her craft from a very early age, this would develop over time, allowing her to ultimately find her own voice. Nurturing her skills as an author, she would find what it was that she wanted to say through the form too, discovering something new in the process.
Fantasy romance would become her main focus, creating bright and colorful worlds with an extremely steamy edge to them. Constantly finding new and exciting ideas, she would continually be seeking inspiration from the world around her. Still writing to this very day, she’s got a lot more to come still, as her writing career continues growing onwards and upwards.
Writing Career
Starting out back in 2017, Lidiya Foxglove would begin with the novel ‘Beauty and the Goblin King,’ and this would also be the first in her ‘Fairy Tale Heat’ series of books. These would focus on classic fairy tales being retold with a dark, passionate, and steamy edge to them, a theme she’d continue with many of her other books. Many of her stories would be fantasy, along with romance, creating large and expansive worlds that would enrapture her many readers. Receiving acclaim from the both the critics and the general public alike, she has a lot more to follow, and definitely isn’t stopping any time soon.
Taming Red Riding Hood
Originally brought out in 2018 on the 7th of January, this would first come out on the Kindle platform to an already eager audience. Working as a stand-alone story in of itself, it does technically follow on from ‘Tasting Gretel,’ this being the eighth book in the ‘Fairy Tale Heat’ series. The books run along the theme of classic fairy-tales retold with a heavy sense of eroticism, giving them a romantic edge in the process.
This retelling of the classic Red Riding Hood fairy-tale is an interesting look at the story, with its own unique spin. There’s a lot here under the surface, making for an engaging fantasy premise filled with passion and romance bubbling throughout. It’s also a fairly erotic story, really capturing the attention of the reader, making for a somewhat engaging and enthralling novel.
Fersa is reunited with her father in his big stately home, along with his wife, as Fersa will be taught to be a lady. The only issue is that she’s actually wolf, and so is her tutor Mr. Arrowen, as they both feel an attraction to one another, but she must marry her human cousin Patrick. He is a hunter though, and is looking to find the white wolf that killed the sacred stage, and he wants the help of Fersa. How will she deal with her own inner wolf? Can she escape back to her grandmother’s cottage? What will happen when taming Red Riding Hood?
Captured by Dragons
First published in 2018 on the 26th of June, this would initially come out through the Kindle, and would be a fantasy romance underscored with eroticism. This is second book in the ongoing ‘Brides of the Sinistral Realms’ series of novels, with them all featuring the same lore. There’s a lot to offer here, as it follows on from the previous book in terms of characters and world-building, but it can also be read on its own.
This book does exactly what it sets out to do, having a lot of fun along the way, and really delivering on every level. There’s a lot here to fully engage the reader, keeping their attention held throughout, with plenty of fun characters too. It’s definitely a book that fully understands the genre, providing a sense of escapism, whilst also being delivered in Foxglove’s now signature manner.
Ever since Dakota was young she wanted to believe in magic, despite many of the other girls moving on from it all. That’s when her friend Edie falls for three passionate demons, and this makes it more difficult for Dakota to endure the real-world as it actually is. Following this she then inadvertently casts a spell that binds her to a passing Shadow Demon, leading her to be rescued by three powerful demons who have come from the Sinistral Realm. Will they ever let her go though? Does she even want to go now that her pleasure feeds them? What will become of her now that she’s been captured by Dragons?
