Jodi Vaughn
Jodi Vaughn is a USA Today bestselling author. She loves creating paranormal romance and fantasy worlds where the heroes are protective and the heroines are strong. Jodi was born and raised in Mississippi, her deep Southern roots and love of the paranormal led her to write Southern Paranormal novels.
When Jodi is not busy traveling or writing, she can be found at home in Arkansas with her three dogs, family, and two incredibly fickle swans that travel the neighborhood searching for greener pastures.
She free writes if she gets stuck on something, which sometimes means only getting words down on a page which do not make any sense. She can always go back and fix it later on.
Jodi pulls her inspiration from a lot of different things. Sometimes, being outside in nature inspires her. Sometimes she gets her ideas from dreams. And if all of that fails, she turns music on. Music will always inspire her to feel what her characters are feeling and see the action play out in her mind.
“Veiled Secrets” is the first novel in the “Veiled” series and was released in 2013. Secrets never stay hidden, particularly the magic ones.
Celeste Hart has known she was different for a long time. Growing up in the South, she knows that having prophetic visions makes her cursed, a freak, or even worse, evil. However a night of passion leads to something that she never expected: a child on the way. And now, learning who she truly is has never been more important. Discovery of her Fae heritage plunges her into this paranormal world that she must accept.
Eric Nordstrom runs his life exactly like he runs his multibillion dollar business, with focus and precision. He never allows his emotions get in the way of what he wants. However Celeste Hart intrigues him with her gentle character despite not being able to help but suspect her motives. After he blackmails her into marriage so that he can protect his reputation, his family falls under these demonic attacks. And he must face his own past in order to protect his new family.
The threat of supernatural war. Eric and Celeste, bound together by more than just passion, quickly realize that they’ll have to work with each other in order to defeat the evil headed right for them. Shadowed by a danger they enter into a world they did not know existed. All hell will break loose when the demons and Fae collide.
“By the Light of the Moon” is the first novel in the “Rise of the Arkansas Werewolves” series and was released in 2014. Hell on Wheels. Damon Trahan (Werewolf Guardian) lives by this Code: Protect the Pack with his life. Damon has experienced betrayal and death, now all that he wants is to have the freedom of his Harley and the loyalty of the men that he rides with, all the family that he has left. These are the things that he knows and believes in. love and the hurt that comes along with it has got no place in his world. Until he gets new orders: rescue Ava Renfroe (female werewolf) from a pack of rogue wolves.
Hell on Heels. Ava Renfroe (a bartender) is sick and tired of Alpha males running her life. Being raised as a Military General’s daughter made her want her independence more than air, and she’s got it. Until she gets kidnapped. Damon Trahan, her bossy pain in the ass and alpha male rescuer, is precisely the sort of man that she does not want, however just try telling that to her libido. His brooding good looks are panty-dropping hot. It’s too bad that he is bat-shit crazy and believes that he is a werewolf. Worse, he is claiming that she is a werewolf as well. However once Damon shifts right in front of her, she starts doubting everything that she has known to be true.
Hell to pay. Damon and Ava, while on the run from the rogues, cannot ignore the passion that is between the two of them. However Damon is aware that it cannot last. Is he going to sacrifice it all to have the single thing that he was never meant to have? Or is the war between the Packs going to destroy them before love can be given a chance?
“Lipstick and Lies and Deadly Goodbyes” is the first novel in the “Vampire Housewife” series and was released in 2019. Ever been turned into an undead by some homeless vampire? Almost beheaded by a snow plow? Betrayed and cheated by your lying sack of s**t husband? Welcome to Rachel Jones’s life, or her crazy after-life.
To everybody behind the gates of their wealthy community in Charming, Mississippi, her husband and Rachel were the Joneses that everybody attempted to keep up with. The perfect gated community, a beautiful house, two gorgeous children, and what seemed to be a flawless marriage. Until she returned home and caught the guy rolling around in their bed, hip-deep in Rachel’s best friend.
Which led to the aforementioned snow plow incident. Then she woke up with this fear of the sun and a propensity for drinking blood. Or in laymen’s terms, a vampire. Rachel believed that vampires were supposed to all be hot and irresistible. However her Maker smells as though he stepped right out of a sewer and he’s got the appeal of a turd in a punch bowl. However you know how life is being one of the Joneses, gotta keep up. Appearances, that is.
She has swapped her Sugar Free, Triple, Venti, Non Fat Caramel Macchiato for a stainless steel rambler which keeps her O-Negative at the perfect room temp. she is still able to manage the carpool lane, with the proper sunglasses to hide her crazy eyes. However between the daytime soccer matches, one missing college student that may have been a vampire kill, attempting not to drain her soon-to-be-ex-husband, and keeping her neighbors in the dark, she is shaking in her Jimmy Choos, and not sure she is able to do this.
