Sexy Bedtime Stories: Volume 1 | (2023) |
J. Saman is an Amazon and USA Today bestselling author of general romance and romantic suspense fiction.
Saman made her debut with the publishing of “Forward” in 2016. She has since then become a prolific author with more than two dozen works to her across several series and single-standing novels.
She is known for writing stories with the perfect amount of angst, enemies to lovers, and second-chance romances.
Over the years, Julie Saman has developed a reputation for writing emotional and funny contemporary romances full of sexy alphas with a soft side towards their women and strong and smart heroines.
Julie Saman began writing when he was in high school, which is when he discovered that he enjoyed writing about books.
She would only really start penning her own stories once she graduated school and needed something to take her stress away. It was something of an escape and stress reliever to put down the many stories she had in her head.
She penned the manuscript for “Forward,” her debut novel over several months but it would take months before she did anything with it. At this time, she believed that for one to be an author, one had to be traditionally published.
However, things changed when she found out about self-publishing. She slapped a cover on the manuscript and published it on Amazon.
But she had not done any editing and much of it was a mess, even if it stayed on the platform for two months. Once she edited the manuscript and reuploaded it, it went on to become a bestselling title.
It was the success of this work that would set the stage for her success as an author.
As for why she decided to go full throttle with self-publishing, J. Saman has said that it is just something she stumbled upon.
It was never something she deliberated upon even though she now likes the amount of control she has over the pricing, the releases, and the covers of her works.
While she for some time did traditional publishing after her initial success, at some point, she came to believe that she would be better off publishing her own works. Moreover, she no longer wanted to share her royalties with the big publishing houses.
Still, she would never rule out traditional publishing if she could maintain the level of control and take advantage of the marketing from traditional publishers.
Just like with publishing, she is also open to the idea of writing in other genres. Of particular interest would be paranormal and fantasy novels since she has always been a huge fan of Percy Jackson and Harry Potter.
“Doctor Scandalous” by J. Saman is the story of Amelia and Oliver who had been crushing on each other since they were in high school.
Amelia has been dreading their reunion since they left school more than a decade ago. She is tired of being a nobody, which is why she stands outside the door like a wallflower.
She is now ready to take risks with her life and herself and no longer be a nobody. But Amelia is also hoping to see Oliver the insanely gorgeous and tall man who is walking towards her.
Oliver Fritz is one of the most eligible bachelors in Boston in addition to being a doctor. He had been the guy every girl wanted in high school and the one men looked up to.
When they meet, he makes a proposal all the girls always dreamed of. Going down on a bended knee he puts a ring on her finger and asks her to be his fake fiance at the school reunion.
But things turn interesting when a steamy and wild night ends in scandal forcing them to come to a deal. He is going to give her what she needs and in return, she will be his fake fiance just so that he will not lose face in the media. What could go wrong?
It makes for a laugh-out-loud and super steamy romance.
Julie Saman’s novel “Doctor Mistake” is a deliciously angsty and super steamy romance that tells the story of Carter and Grace.
As is often the case mistakes always come in single. Grace the lead has just learned that her finance has been a philandering bastard. She had always been the cool calm and collected doctor but now is at a loss at what to do.
She had made a mistake believing in the man but her second mistake was knocking on the wrong door. She believed it was the apartment door of her best friend but it seems she had moved.
The gorgeous as sin, overly cocky, and obnoxious Carter Fritz is now the newest resident. Not one to pass up such an opportunity, the billionaire playboy invites her to cry on his shoulder and stay at his place.
He is the first man that has made her feel valued for a long time. As such, she tells herself that she has no regrets about spending an earth-shattering night with him. But she made the mistake of not taking precautions and finds herself pregnant.
She cannot afford to be pregnant as she could risk almost everything she had worked for in her residency. Still, it may be her heart and what it chooses that may be her biggest mistake.
Following the nightmare from which Ellen finally has her freedom. She should be in a happy place but she cannot seem to forget the incredibly broken, insufferably attractive, and cruel man.
He had initially pretended to be someone he was not and he fell for it as she did not ask many questions. She also failed to stop him when he decided to sneak out of her hotel room in the early morning.
Ellen had been determined to start her new life but that wild night had made things a lot more complicated. On her first night in her new house, she meets the man again and learns that they are going to be neighbors.
He is an utterly intolerable, very unfriendly, and grumpy man and has nothing of the charm he had when they met at the bar. Things only get worse when she realizes that she will be teaching his daughter at school too.
They push each other back and forth which gets under her skin. Given that he has a daughter, he does not want to get into a serious relationship but this just makes resisting him harder for Ellen.
