Hanna Hamilton is a bestselling historical romance fiction author that is best known for her Regency romance fiction novels.
The author was born in Texas and in her teenage years, she went to college and studied Creative Writing. She would then become a teacher of English literature before she quit to become a professional author.
The author made her debut when she penned “The Lady and the Duke,” her debut novel in 2017. The novel would become very successful and provide the inspiration to push on and become one of the best and most prolific authors in the genre.
Ever since the publishing of her debut, she has been averaging five novels every year and by 2023, she had nearly eighty titles to her name spread across single-standing novels, novellas, and several omnibuses.
Like many authors, Hanna Hamilton was a lover of reading right from when she was a child. She got into Regency romances as a teenager as she started reading the novels of famous historical romance writers such as Lisa Kleypas and Jane Austen.
According to the author she loved reading historical romances as she thought love was fairytale-like and so magical during that time. Moreover, she loved to daydream about finding love just like the characters she read about.
But given that she lives in the twenty-first century, there was no way this would happen and hence she decided to pen about it instead.
When he is not writing her novels, Hanna Hamilton loves to take to the countryside to explore alongside her husband and children. She has said that she finds much of her inspiration from the natural world in which she lives.
Hamilton has said that she pens her novels to invite her readers into a journey of redemption, confusion, and love set in the Regency era. She hopes her readers will love immersing themselves in her novels and love the old-fashioned romance stories as much as she does.
“His Cinderella Duchess” by Hanna Hamilton is one of her most popular. Sophia’s life changed very fast after she was sent to live with her cruel uncle and her extended family. The last thing she would have expected is to be abused at her uncle’s place.
She is desperate for some freedom and when she one day gets out intending to stay out for an hour, she stumbles upon a charming and well-bred Duke. He may just be the only man who could save her from her dark predicament.
Duke Henry has been told to marry as soon as possible and now needs to find a suitable match or else he will not be able to claim his inheritance. He has been focusing on that until he meets Sophia.
She is a delicate, beautiful wallflower in need of saving but she will not even look him in the eye. She is determined to find out who she is and looks for her all over the village only to find something worse than he could have imagined. He will have to act fast or else he may lose her forever.
It makes for a beautiful retelling of Cinderella as the author pens an intriguing storyline and strong characters. She pulls you in with all manner of turns and twists as he paints perfect scenes and delivers a fluid and enjoyable read.
Hanna Hamilton’s novel “A True Lady” is an intriguing work that tells of the life and times of Lord Louis Bennett. The man recently decided to marry but hates his father’s choice and intends to find a suitable bride for himself.
Attending a ball, he had met Clara and the two had an almost instant chemistry and connection. What he does not know is that she is a prostitute and had been sent there by the father of the girl he had rejected, who is now intent on revenge.
The man had offered Clara a significant amount of money to ensure she gets Louis in a compromising position which would then ruin his reputation. But when Clara meets him she just cannot go through with her revenge plot. The man is too kind and honest that she does not want to damage his reputation.
When the man who employed her learns that she did not do what was expected, he starts threatening her. This drives Clara to tell Louis everything even though she believes he will hate her for it.
However, he has fallen in love with her just as she has with him. He tells her that she needs to leave to protect herself but once she leaves he realizes he loved her too much. But she is kidnapped while fleeing and he fears he may never see her again. But they may get help from some unlikely source.
Hanna Hamilton’s “The Governess Who Stole My Heart” is the story of a smart, caring, and strong woman named Susan. Her life was good enough when it came to friends and family, but she seems to be unlucky in love.
When she was just 20, she had been heartbroken but now her mother is pushing her to find a new suitor and get married. She says she does not want her daughter to be the local spinster as it would be too embarrassing.
On her part, Susan is quite content living a simple and happy life as a school teacher. But then she met the brother of her best friend who seems to like her a lot. Complicating matters, she recently became governess and nanny to the young daughter of a duke and then proceeded to fall in love with the man.
She now has two suitors, even as her ex who had abandoned her days before her wedding has said that she still has strong feelings for Susan. Susan believes that she would be better off letting her heart rather than her mind decide.
If she let people decide for her she would have to do her duty and get married to a man she does not love and provide for a family. For once, she decides not to listen to convention, as she is more interested in passion and love, and believes this is what is needed for a good marriage.
