Glen Erik Hamilton is an American author of crime thriller novels. He writes the Van Shaw series. Glen is from Seattle, and spent a lot of time growing up on a sailboat around the various islands and docks of the Pacific Northwest. He now lives in California, but returns home as often as he can to take in some of the rain.

Glen Erik Hamilton made his debut as a published novelist in 2015 with the novel Past Crimes. That novel went on to win the Anthony, Macavity, and Strand Magazine Critics awards for Best First Novel, and was nominated for several other major awards.
