Geri Foster is an American author that writes action-romance novels. Foster is best known for series like Falcon Securities and Women of Courage.

+Biography

Geri Foster comes from Picher in Oklahoma. She grew up there with her two older brothers and younger sister. Foster was the baby of the house for a long time before her mother finally brought her sister home.

She was thirteen at the time. And it wasn’t long after that the family moved to Kansas and then Buffalo. Foster met her husband, a Navy man, in Buffalo. They eventually had two children who they raised into adulthood and then settled into their new life as a senior couple with their dog.

+Literary Career

Geri Foster was always an avid reader. By the time she was in seventh grade, the author had two library cars that she had won out because she had read every book she had access to at the time.

Foster’s family encouraged her reading habit because it made it that much easier to buy presents for her. However, Foster did not know for certain that she would write fiction for a living.

In fact, she doesn’t really know how early in life she made that decision. She does admit that she came into the business a little later than she would have preferred. The author let life lead her for a while.

She got married, had children and spent quite a few years taking care of her family and working in the corporate world. It wasn’t until her family had reached a place where they could do without her that she quit the corporate arena and decided to try her hand at writing.

Geri Foster always read widely. She dipped her toes into everything from action to adventure. But it was the romance that always tagged at her heart. She loved reading sultry stories featuring strong heroes and vulnerable heroines that, despite the hurdles and struggles, got their happily-ever-after.

So when she started to take writing seriously, it wasn’t that unexpected when she set her sights on the romance genre. The author’s journey to publishing success started with a couple of contests.

Foster submitted her work to a few writing competitions and actually won. The victories were all the proof the author needed to recognize that she had a gift. She spent many years studying the art of writing.

Foster knew she needed to identify and develop her voice. So she experimented. She found a critique group that helped her refine her skills until she was finally ready to produce and publish her stories.

The author has since carved out a reputation for producing heart-pounding action-romance suspense. There’s always an explosion going off in Foster’s stories. She loves writing about dangerous men living edgy lives even as they contend with the difficulties of romance.

Foster’s goal is to write books where love conquers all and her protagonists end up together despite impossible odds.

Geri Foster believes she is a very hyperactive individual. She loves to multi-task and get in over her head. This is despite knowing that she will eventually crash and burn. The author loves to bring each difficult day to an end with a glass of wine that typically puts her to sleep.

Because of her hyperactive nature, Foster prefers silence as she writes. Music distracts her. She ends up singing and dancing. She is most effective sitting alone with her laptop.

The silence helps Foster to plot. As an author of action-romance, Foster does not think it is possible to bring her stories together without prior plotting. Otherwise, things can get unnecessarily chaotic.

The author endeavors to produce at least five pages of content a day. On a good day, Foster can write up to ten pages. Her writing process involves a lot of research but only because she wants to keep her facts straight.

Geri Foster isn’t interested in making her novels educational. She wants her readers to have a good time, nothing more.

+Out of the Dark

Falcon Securities is a clandestine organization owned by Frank Hamilton that carries out dangerous assignments at the behest of the United States President.

John McKinsey is a Falcon Securities Agent. His bosses sent him to Russia on a mission but things went wrong. Now John has been left on his own to face off against deadly assassins.

When John’s superiors tell him to hitch a ride with Emily Richards, the Falcon Securities agent does not expect the corporate attorney to be such a hassle.

Emily Richards was in Russia as a mediator. And things were proceeding as expected until John McKinsey came into his life. Emily is quick to blame John for her troubles because the men with the guns only burst into her hotel room after the Falcon Securities Agent arrived.

Her life was in danger and Emily felt justified in blaming John for it. But then one of the assailants called Emily Richards by her name and she realized that there might be more going on than meets the eye.

Now both Emily and John are on the run. They need to get out of Russia alive even as they contend with drug lords and vindictive bombers. And if they are not careful, the emotional walls between them might start falling, and there’s no telling what that will do.

Out of the Dark is the first novel in the Falcon Securities series. The book thrusts a man and a woman together as they try to figure out who is after them.
