G.J. Ogden
G. J. Ogden is a Kindle Storyteller Award winner, and has written a ton of science fiction books.

He is a physics graduate and was a technology journalist with a lifelong love of anything nerdy and science fiction.

On those rare occasions that he is not writing, he is typically getting whooped in games of Warhammer 40K by his son.

“The Planetsider” is the first novel in the “Planetsider” series and was released in 2018. Ethan is a ranger that has sworn to protect his walled settlement from the dangers of his ravaged wasteland of a planet. This one night a mysterious light thunders overhead and Ethan investigates it, finding this crashed spacecraft and two soldiers from a moon base that he did not even know existed. Commander Kurren and Captain Salus have risked everything to find a Planetsider that would help save their people Ethan needs them to answer these questions which have been haunting him all of his life, what happened to his world and why?

Ethan, having been seduced by the prospect of learning the truth, agrees to help Commander Kurren and Captain Salus. Disobeying the direct orders of his council, he travels out to the UEC outpost located on the moon. He gets his answers there, however the truth just leads him to even more questions and doubts.

Salus and Kurren, to make things worse, aren’t the only ones looking for a Planetsider. This enemy faction, which has been trapped on some orbital space station, is going to stop at nothing in order to capture Ethan, and prevent him from helping out the UEC. With time running short to save this moon base, he agrees to go on this dangerous mission to recover some crucial tech set adrift in a radiation field which only a Planetsider can possibly survive.

However his ship gets intercepted by this rival faction and Ethan’s taken to the space station. It is there that he meets the faction’s leader, who turns his whole life on end. Everything he believed he knew was just a lie.

Ethan, having been plucked out of a life of obscurity and ignorance, gets thrust into the center of this war which has been raging for more than a century now, a war that created the world he grew up in. But fate’s got a cruel sense of irony, since now the survival of two whole civilizations rests in the hands of just one solitary Planetsider.

“The Contingency” is the first novel in the “Contingency War” series and was released in 2019. Their mission was not supposed to find anything whatsoever. Least of all the truth.

Captain Taylor Ray commands this deep space recon crew on a mission scouring the far reaches of the galaxy for signs of Earth’s long-defeated alien enemy, the Hedalt. Nobody really expects for him to find anything since nobody ever has. After spending decades of hunting the remnants of the Hedalt across light years, all that remains by this point are ghosts, long dead outposts of this long dead civilization.

However Captain Ray enjoys the company of his specialist, tight-knit crew, and the decade’s worth of pay for just four years in the wilderness helps as well.

However when the ship detects this faint Hedalt signal and he orders his crew to investigate it, he could not possibly know what he’s about to find. Everything that he believed he knew was just a lie. The Hedalt war never ended. It’s not even started yet.

“Guardian Outcast” is the first novel in the “Star Scavenger” series and was released in 2020. Hudson Powell had always been a drifter, however after his dad died he vowed to turn his whole life around. He retired from freelancing as a starship pilot and, as a 38 year old rookie, joined up with the Relic Guardian Force. Big mistake.

The RGF police the alien wrecks which have been found on every single portal world found in the previous century. They make sure that the relic hunters pay their taxes on the priceless alien technology they scavenge out of the hulks. The snag is that the RGF is corrupt. And Logan Griff, Hudson’s training officer, is the worst scumbag out of the entire lot.

Hudson is pushed over the edge, and he stumbles across the exhilarating world of the relic hunters and he meets Tory Bellona, the equally lethal and intoxicating mercenary.

Hudson Powell gets cast out of the RGF and selects a new path for himself. However finding a unique alien crystal is going to set events into motion which can’t be undone.

People quit asking where the alien hulks came from. People also quit asking who created those portals, and why. Hudson is going to learn that some alien relics are better left buried. Just one choice can change the entire course of a whole civilization. One find can change your entire life.

“Darkspace Renegade” is the first novel in the “Darkspace Renegade” series and was released in 2020. The interstellar bridges provide a lifeline for billions of people. In order to save humanity the Darkspace Renegades have to rip them all down.

Hallam Knight, who was unjustly booted out of the Consortium Security Force, has been reduced to working as a gunner, where he must defend the precious Randenite fuel tankers from the Darkspace Renegades, notorious extremists. The Darkspace Renegades, hell bent on ending bridge travel permanently, threaten to tear the interstellar travel network down which supports billions of lives across a dozen worlds.

The Darkspace Renegades are radicals and outlaws. That’s what Hallam believed anyway. When this violent encounter with the Blackfire Squadron, an infamous mercenary group, nearly costs him his life, Hallam finds he’s at the mercy of the Darkspace Renegades and their enigmatic and mysterious leader.

Hallam Knight learns that everything he once believed he knew to be true was actually a lie. The Darkspace Renegades are far from being the enemy, and are actually humanity’s only hope. They just don’t know it yet. The Consortium taught Hallam that no good deed goes unpunished. They are about to learn that karma is a bitch.
