Eva Chase is a paranormal romance and urban fantasy from Canada. Recently, she ventured into contemporary romance under the pseudonym Eva Chance.
The author was brought up reading all manner of novels full of mayhem, magic and romantic angst that she now incorporates into her many titles. Chase has made a name for herself writing stories full of domineering men and sassy women that populate gritty romantic stories.
Eva wrote “Caught in the Glow” her debut novel in 2015 and has since then gone on to become quite the prolific author. She now has more than sixty titles to her name in addition to several collections and single standing novels.
She currently lives with her family in Canada, from where she writes her novels.
“Cruel Magic” by Eva Chase opens to Rory Frank finding out that she is the long lost heir to Persephone Bloodstone.
She is descended from one of the five dark magic families and is no ordinary college student. Her destiny is to learn how to control the world with fear and take her place beside four other arrogant, scorching hot other scions that rule her school. But she still finds that she cannot locate nor use her magical skills.
She is also not so interested in feeding off of other people’s pain. If she is to survive, she needs to tap into her talents as she has no time to grieve for her family.
The students at the school are more vicious than even the teachers and the four young men are the worst. The four have been known to crush everyone who does not toe the line, but Rory will not bow to anyone no matter how alluring.
They can tear her down or turn on the charm but even if she can barely get her magic working, she is determined not to let her break her. The scions have never met anyone like her before, as she is a person who only wants to avenge the people she loved rather than rule.
Eva Chase’s novel “Vile Sorcery” opens to Rory Frank going from a clueless magician unable to tap into her talents to become one of the world’s most powerful mages. This should have made her life easier but it has not. The magic she has is powerful, but it is only when she can learn to wield it that she can realize her full potential.
What makes things even worse is that her enemies have a massive head start. She has recently been learning every skill she can, as she has to fight with enemies in both the Villain Academy and outside it. They are determined to do everything in their power to take her down.
She can count on several of her fellow scions to help her in one of the biggest fights of her life, even though she is sure some of them count as enemies. As for the others, the lines between dark and light have recently become even more blurry.
Neither her magic, her heart or her mind is safe here. Even the people that have shown themselves trusted allies are in the line of fire. When things turn deadly, will she be able to save herself and her loved ones?
It does seem as if Franks’ battle to survive her schooling at Villain Academy just started. Wrenching heartbreak, vicious treachery, thrilling passion and unexpected allies rule this society.
“Sinister Wizardry” by Eva Chase opens to Rory Frank’s debating whether she should spend her summers with some of the vilest classmates at Villain Academy. She decides not to, but still needs to find a way to deal with her enemies, before they can destroy her again.
She has often taken the high road but is determined to never go down that road again. She intends to hit back hard at anyone that dares come at her. But this would mean that she had to tap into her magical instincts, which is not something she had planned for. However, she has people she loves that she needs to protect.
For her plan to work, she may also need to stay away from the only guy she has complete trust in as she knows she would probably ruin his life in the process. With two scions battling for her attention and another going hard against her out of nowhere, she certainly has her hands very full.
It is going to be a hot summer and she cannot be so sure if she is going to survive everything the season has in store for her.
