A Not So Fictional Fall |
Emma St. Clair is a general romance author who likes to call herself an author of clean romance fiction and a rabid reader. She is a lover of noncheesy love stories and sassy heroines severed up with a side of humor.
Since she has always been a lover of reading, writing would come naturally to her and she penned her first novel when she was just eight.
In 2007, she got her master’s degree in the fine arts and In the intervening years before she penned the romance fiction work in the Billionaire Surprise series, she used to write literary novels.
At some point, she took a break and began writing business books on email lists and blogging and some nonfiction devotionals.
It was while she was researching information for a Christmas devotional she was writing that she stumbled upon an idea that she saw had a lot of search volume. It was then that she got curious and began researching the genre.
She published “The Billionaire’s Love Match,” her debut novel and the first of the “Billionaire Surprise” series of novels in 2018.
Emma St. Clair currently makes her home in the small town of Katy, Texas, where she lives with her husband and their dog.
Unlike many of her contemporaries, Emma St Clair never set out to pen billionaire romance as she had never found them palatable. However, she kept seeing them everywhere so she finally decided to read a few.
Next thing she knew, she got an idea for one and she penned it faster than any other work she had ever done up to that point. Within two weeks she had begun writing and finished an entire manuscript.
It also helped that the sales for her billionaire romance was a lot better than most of her other novels and as such she decided to make it into a series.
The idea for her debut started when a scene of a woman hiding from her former boyfriend in a bathroom popped into her head. She had mistakenly entered the men’s room, which is where she met a billionaire, and things ballooned from there.
Once her first series became a huge success, she decided to quit her job and become a full-time author. She now spends several hours each day writing her novels with the afternoons mostly spent taking care of marketing and social media.
An interesting thing about St. Clair is that she sometimes prefers to pen her novels on her phone.
Outside of her writing endeavors, Emma St. Clair loves to read all manner of books.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, she has been reading all manner of contemporary romance and romantic comedies, urban and paranormal fantasy, and young adult fiction.
She also loves to play roller derby and can usually take out and outskate most people. Other than that, she is also a very good cook who is often actively looking for new recipes that she adapts and makes her own.
Emma is also the founder of the “Create If Writing” podcast and writer group which has over the years become very popular.
Emma St. Clair’s “Falling for Your Best Friend’s Twin” is an interesting romance novel that follows the life and time of Zane and Abby. The latter is a computer nerd who is bored writing code as she believes herself seriously overqualified for it.
She recently accepted a contractual appointment working with Zane who is the brother of her best friend Zoe who has a startup. She is charged with ensuring the startup company’s code is free of bugs while reporting to Zane.
Abby is a quirky dresser and firmly believes that she never stands a chance with Zane and as such decides to keep her head down and work on code.
But what she does not know is that Zane finds her quirkiness attractive. He finds her very different from the many bimbos he has been dating since he lost his mother.
In recent weeks he has been dating Chelsea and one day Abby finds her storming out of Zane’s office when she is arriving.
Zane and Abby share a smile together in disapproval while looking at Chelsea’s purse dog and their friendship is soon up and running.
It is a fun romantic comedy with characters and fun moments that pull you into a fantastic world.
“Falling for Your Boss” by Emma St. Clair is another interesting romance fiction work about Zoey and Gavin.
Zoey is a beautiful, smart, and straight-laced woman who has been crashing on Gavin her boss ever since she got employed at his company.
He is everything she has ever wanted in a man in that he is grounded, mature, and handsome, even if he is almost twice her age.
She admires the man so that it is almost impossible for her to work with him as she wants to have more than an employee and boss relationship with him.
While she does not know it, Gavin also feels the same about her and for a long time has seen right through her front.
He knows he is old enough to be her father and that he is her boss but is ready to open his heart once again following a horrific marriage and painful divorce.
As such, he jumps at the opportunity to go out with her on a birthday date. But there are some interesting surprises awaiting them that may just be the ultimate test for their fledgling new relationship.
This is a clean, cute, and funny romance that will have you smiling and listening all the way through.
Emma St. Clair’s novel “Falling for Your Fake Fiance” tells the story of the life and times of Delilah Hart and Thayden Walker.
The latter is a mid-thirties lawyer who comes from money but who now stands to lose it all. According to some clause in his father’s will, he will lose all claim to the family’s wealth if he is not married in three months and remains so for at least a year.
On the other hand, is the twenty-three-year-old college student Delilah Hart who also happens to be a former teen and child beauty queen.
She graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in English and is now saddled with more than $100,000 in debt.
Her degree is useless and she has been forced to work at a doggie daycare center where she barely makes enough for her rent and food. She met Thayden when she attended the wedding between Gavin his best friend and Zoey her best friend.
At that time, she had not been impressed with his flirtatious behavior as he seemed to be a blatant rake. But then he offers her a job babysitting his dog Apollo for an outrageously handsome salary and she cannot say no.
Things will get even more interesting when his mother turns up and offers a lot of money if she will only marry Thayden.
