Emma Linfield is a historical romance fiction novelist from California who is best known for the “Vixen in London” and “Brooks” series of novels.
She published “The Enigmatic Governess Of Buford Manor” her debut work in 2018. Linfield has since become one of the most prolific authors in the romance genre who now has more than 70 titles across several series, single-standing novels, novellas, and short stories.
As for her origins, Emma Linfield was born and brought up in Southern California and is someone who has always had a passion for historical romances.
She particularly loved the world of Regency England and found inspiration from Georgette Heyer and Jane Austen, who made her want to pen her own stories. She has said that what she likes to read are stories of tradition and love that are combined to appeal to hopeless romantics just like herself.
Later on in life, she got a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing and has worked as a freelance writer for more than a decade. When she is not writing, Emma can usually be found spending time with her husband and her two beautiful kids, while enjoying the ocean and the Californian sun.
Outside of her website, she loves to interact with her fans and readers and fans on Goodreads, BookBub, and Facebook.
Emma Linfield’s novel “His Gift of a Duchess” opens with the Duke of Sunderly, Edward Connolly arriving at the home of his late father’s friend. They are there to formalize a betrothal made decades earlier to his eldest daughter. In doing so, they completely blindside the Viscount of Honeyfield and his family.
The betrothed never wanted to be a duchess and begins to cry while Eliza her youngest sister stands up to the duke. The latter soon finds herself trying to protect her sister by offering to wed the duke.
While his mother is so disagreeable and hates Eliza, Edward is doing this out of duty, only to find himself falling for Eliza. Since the duke intends to woo and ultimately marry Eliza, he asks for his sisters to come to the wedding.
When Edward and Eliza return home as newlyweds, the dowager tries her best to destroy their relationship. When her plans fail, she decides to send Edward to do business in London and sends after him the young woman she prefers.
His mother does not relent in trying to make Eliza’s life more miserable but Connolly is oblivious of the fact since he is far away. Will she remain strong enough and wait out the terrible times until he comes back or will Eliza throw in the towel?
Emma Linfield’s novel “Her Mystery of a Marquess” tells the story of Joanna Brooks. Since her family is in dire straits financially, she believes that it is up to her to rectify the situation. Nonetheless, she will need to do so in secret away from the gaze of society and her kin.
On the other hand is the Marquess of Haddington, a man named James whose printing business has been booming. As such, he had no qualms about financing his younger sister’s debut and helping her get away from their detestable father.
He takes his sister to a ball and while watching over her, he meets Joanna who is also looking over her sister and the two hit it off. It happens that Lady Joanna is an author of stories that she has been publishing under a pseudonym.
Later, the Marquess buys the publisher but he never knew that Joanna is an author at the house who has been publishing under a pseudonym. When he finally meets J. Brookings the best-selling author, he is surprised to find that it is Joanna.
Bound by a shared secret, they become closer as intrigue, mysteries, and unexpected events bring them ever closer to a happily ever after. But the secret they harbor may just be the domino that brings their entire world tumbling down.
Emma Linfield’s “Her Secret of An Earl” tells the story of Madelene Brooks whose only desire is to study music. She is not interested in suitors or society events, but when her mother forbids her from playing violin and taking lessons, she decides to take secret lessons.
On the other hand, is the mysterious and elusive Mathew, who is the Earl of Millsfield by day and plays at the opera orchestra as a violinist at night.
But then one of the most beautiful women he has ever seen asks him to give her secret lessons and he cannot refuse. While they may be meeting in secret, they soon realize that they have feelings for each other. However, it is not going to be so easy for these two to be together.
