Elizabeth Goddard is an award winning and bestselling author from The United States, who has written more than 25 novels to her name in the various genres of romance, thriller, fantasy, science fiction, and mystery. Among her most successful novels is a romantic mystery book called The Camera Never Lies. This book had won the Carol Award in 2011. Author Goddard is a 2 time finalist of the Daphne Du Maurier prize in 2016 for her books Backfire and Buried. These books had received the nominations in the Excellence in Suspense/Mystery category. Author Goddard is a seventh generation Texan. She completed her graduation from the State University of North Texas and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in the subject of Computer Science. She has worked in high level sales of a software company for many years. Author Goddard left her job to look after children and take care of their home schooling. Later, she thought of using this opportunity to fulfill lifelong dream of becoming a full time writer. Goddard did what her heart suggested her and the rest they say is history. As of today, author Goddard resides in Minnesota along with her children and husband. Goddard spent her initial years growing up in a tiny town located in East Texas. The region in which she used to live was once considered very rich because of the oil reserves underground. Later, Goddard stayed in Oregon for a brief period. This helped her to draw the setting for a number of her stories.

From a very early age, Goddard had the desire to write her own stories. This also came combined with the interest in reading interesting stories. Goddard’s mother had maintained bookshelves that were filled with numerous books that she used to read as a girl. All that was passed to Goddard, which she accepted happily. The other personalities who influenced the life of author Goddard include her 3rd grade teacher. When Goddard read one of the stories told by her teacher to her children, she got the idea of an adult novel. Eventually, she was able to produce 2 adult novels after 2 years. On several occasions, Goddard used to spend the entire summer doing nothing except reading novels. Earlier, she used to like writing poetry and stories along with reading voraciously. In fact, Goddard was able to pen her first romance story at the age of 14. The English teachers at her school used to make her participate in the UIL contests of creative writing. This shows that she was involved in writing for a long time now. However, it was not before the year 2001 that she started pursuing the art of writing seriously, with the intention of getting writings published. Goddard likes to thank the Lord that he gave her the dream of writing novels and strength and patience to turn it into a reality. Every year, she writes and publishes numerous novels, mostly in bulk. On an average, 15 to 20 of her books get published every year, and the number keeps rising every year. Goddard feels proud that her stories have made it to the final rounds in writing contests. In the end, she considers herself blessed to have received the creative gift inside her and using it in the best way possible. Goddard likes to give the message to the upcoming writers that they should dream big and encourage themselves to tackle any difficulty that comes in their way of fulfilling their dreams.

A successful novel series written by Elizabeth Goddard is known as ‘Wilderness, Inc’ series. This series is comprised of a total of 4 books, which were released between the years 2016 and 2017. The debut book of this series is entitled ‘Targeted for Murder’. It was released in the year 2016 by the Love Inspired publication. Author Goddard has set this book’s plot in Oregon. At the start of the story, it is depicted that Hadley Mason is sitting beside her dying father, who was fatally shot. With his last breath before death, her father reveals to her that he is an agent working for the CIA. He also informs her that someone has placed a bounty on both their lives. Heeding to the urgent warning given by her father and to the advice that she should not trust anyone except herself, Hadley Mason flees into the deep wilderness of Oregon. However, she is not able to run far away and shake the shake the hired killers’ string, who were trailing her. While running for her life, Hadley Mason comes across a handsome and fearless wilderness guide named Cooper Wilde. Cooper rescues her from the killers after which she is not left with any other choice, but to surrender herself in the hands of Cooper Wilde. He too promises to protect Hadley at any cost. Cooper is aware of all the tricks of the trade very well as his an ex-Green Beret. But, there is a deadly killer out in the wilderness beyond the treacherous terrain and steep gorges, who has also taken the vow of killing Hadley Mason at all costs.

Another exciting novel published in the suspense series is called ‘Undercover Protector’. The Love Inspired publishers released this book too in 2017. At the beginning of this book, Grayson Wilde is introduced as a Special Agent, who remains undercover and works at a sanctuary. He keeps a track of the activities of the sanctuary’s owner and suspects that she must be having a hand in the trafficking of wild animals. However, Grayson is forced to drop his suspicion when he learns about the killing attempt on Gemma’s life. Now, as Gemma Rollins’s life falls on the line, it becomes clear that she is in desperate need of help. And there is no one better than Grayson Wilde to come to her rescue. Gemma is determined to build the tiger oasis again that she had lost after the death of her family. However, someone does not want her to achieve this and wishes to remove her permanently. The recent attacks and incidents force Gemma wonder whether her uncle and parents had really died in an accident. Grayson Wilde promises Gemma Rollins that he will do whatever it takes to save her life. In the meantime, Gemma begins to get the feeling that her alluring volunteer might be totally different from what he thinks about him. But, as a vicious killer closes in to kill her, Gemma has to keep her trust in Grayson. He is the only hope left with her for remaining alive and she won’t be able to survive without his help.
