E.E. Isherwood is a published author of fiction.
He has been telling stories for decades, a passion that started when he was younger. Serving as the appointed Dungeon Master for different adventures had with the classic game Dungeons and Dragons, the teen would create different worlds and maintained them in different spiral notebooks.
He is married and his wife frequently would wonder as to why there were full notebooks being carried around them any time they moved to a new house. He started to think about it too, but after a series of different careers and even full years later, E.E. started to realize that these were stories that he could actually use and add some of his storytelling ability to transform them into books.
Isherwood has long been enthusiastic about apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic fiction, and decided to start writing his own novels. When it comes to subject matter, he had always enjoyed writing about zombies personally. He’s composed other ideas for his books that were directly drawn from those same reliable notebooks that he had compiled, so there’s always something more to come from this author.
Isherwood has had his novels featured in publications like USA Today and the New York Times. He loves reading and writing all books that have to do with science fiction or post-apocalyptic descents and scenarios. He also loves to write his own stories, but also has other interests that he pursues outside of the literary world. E.E. is an avid bird watcher and loves being in nature and exploring it. He also rides his bike and enjoys going places with his family and traveling all around America.
He resides generally in the area of St. Louis, Missouri, along with his family and of course his wife. Isherwood decided that this would also be the ideal place to set his series of books about zombies. What better place to write about than that which you know? He’s always enjoyed thinking about the end of the world, something that started years ago when he first read Earth Abides, the classic 1949 novel. It’s been full steam ahead ever since.
E.E. Isherwood is the creator and author of the Sirens of the Zombie Apocalypse series of fictional novels. This series first began with Since the Sirens and is a complete, seven-novel series. The series debuted in 2015 with the first novel and plays upon the concept of what if a zombie plague hit the world and people gained immunity from catching the Spanish flu, but when those same people got older and eventually passed away, the plague has an opening to attack the people that were not around to develop that immunity and suddenly risks taking down the entire human race itself. Check this awesome series out and see what action and adventure awaits!
Since the Sirens is the first novel in the Sirens of the Zombie Apocalypse by E.E. Isherwood. In this debut novel, readers get to met the main character of Liam Peters for the first time.
Liam is upset that he has to spend the entire summer with his great-grandmother as part of the consequences for some bad choices. Now he’s dealing with the fallout and is pretty sure that his life’s over, by the way. Marty Peters also is a difficult woman to contend with as she’s from another generation. Liam’s into technology, and she may have some insights about life, but not about tech.
But when an emergency is declared all over the city and the tornado warning sirens are going off, Liam’s summer is about to get a whole lot more difficult. He’s worried about what to do, and things are just chaotic everywhere. His grandmother attempts to try and get him to go on his own way, since she will not leave her home.
However, something inside of him wakes up and the last thing that he’s going to do is abandon Grandma Marty to deal with whatever is going on. She’s 104 years old and he just can’t leave her behind– she might die. He does have weapons with two small pistols at his disposal, and he does know quite a bit about disaster situations and dealing with zombies from the books that he’s read through the years.
Now is Liam’s chance to become the hero and rescue his grandmother from what could be a terrible fate. He’s got to do anything that he can to protect his grandmother and wait for this situation to hopefully resolve. Things are getting even more complicated, though, and the interstate’s become totally locked up with cars. Meanwhile, criminals are running rampant and the police and other law enforcement are doing what they can to try and keep everything civil.
St. Louis is deemed a war zone and Marty and Liam are suddenly inside the chaos to witness it firsthand. Then the zombies start rising up, and Liam finally understands how serious things are. It truly is a trying time. Does Liam have what it takes to survive in this world and save his grandmother too? Or is reading books not enough to prepare you for when the apocalypse comes? Read this book to find out!
Siren Songs is the second novel in Isherwood’s Sirens of the Zombie Apocalypse. All of the action continues in this incredible post-apocalyptic series!
In the last book, Liam was helping Grandma Marty get out of the city. Now that he’s gotten her safely with his parents, he can focus on handling the zombie apocalypse himself. He’s got a new friend now named Victoria, and is thinking that maybe his next move should be to escort her home to Colorado.
He does have a crush on her, but they’re just friends in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. He’s read a lot of books and knows about zombies, but also realizes that nothing is ever as simple as it may appear in these types of scenarios. When they get chased by a horde of zombies, he knows things are about to get worse.
Can he help Victoria and save her from the zombies while getting her to Colorado? Or are the two destined to become snacks for hungry zombies that are seemingly everywhere now? Read the second installment of the series to find out!
