Cheryl Douglas
Cheryl Douglas started her professional career as a nutritionist, however she did not find her happily ever after until she changed careers.
The fear of winding up in somebody’s never ending slush pile, coupled with that nagging inner voice that told her it was far too crazy to just give up a successful business prompted her to keep writing as a hobby for many years. Finally, she decided that it was time to take the plunge into full time writing. So in 2011, she left her job as a nutritionist and began writing full time. All these published books later, and she believes that it was the best choice that she has ever made.
As an avid reader of the genre she loves and a self-proclaimed workaholic, she does manage to tear herself from her computer in order to spend more time with the other two loves of her life: her son and husband.
Her life revolves around country music, family, travel, baseball, chocolate, sports, caffeine, and deadlines.
“Shameless” is the first novel in the “Nashville Nights” series and was released in 2012. Trey Turner might be topping the country music charts however his life has been heading downhill ever since his wife left him five years back. He is desperate to make amends for the mistakes that he has made and convince Sierra that their love deserves another chance.
Sierra Brooks is happy for the very first time since her divorce. She has got a career that she loves and a fiance that loves her. Unfortunately, her fiance is not the only guy that is professing his love. He might be able to offer her security and safety, however is she going to decide to risk it all for a second chance with a guy that broke her heart?
Cheryl delivers an emotionally heart wrenching story with a truly likable couple that have been through a few hardships making their way back to one another. The hero is admirable for overcoming his addictions and readers cheered for true love being triumphant.
“High Stakes” is the first novel in the “Nashville Nights: Next Generation” series and was released in 2012. Alisa Turner (ex-party girl) made this deal with her dad, Trey. He will provide the seed money for this new business venture of hers just so long as she promises to keep out of trouble. Too bad that her good intentions tumble some 30,000 feet when she meets this sexy stranger on a flight to sin city.
Liam Bryson (a hotel mogul) has never believed in love at first sight, however when this sexy little siren twenty years his junior tempts him into this night of high stakes Blackjack, he is playing for keeps all of a sudden.
Alisa wakes up in Liam’s bed the very next morning, cursing Tequila and the five carat diamond that is on her left hand. She demands to get an annulment before her overprotective dad learns that she reneged on their agreement, however her new husband is not ready to just let her go without putting up a fight.
“Stone Cold” is the first novel in the “Music City Moguls” series and was released in 2013. Cassidy Ross only wants to escape from her miserable life until she meets Drake Elliott, a famed music producer. He is everything that a girl from the wrong side of the tracks would be foolish enough to hope for, however Drake helps her realize that she can have a life worth fighting for, until she makes this mistake which could cost her everything.
Anybody dumb enough to betray Drake is destined to pay a hefty price, particularly when the culprit is wearing his engagement ring. He believed he could trust Cassidy, however when she proves him wrong he vows to make her pay.
“Strike Out” is the first novel in the “Texas Titans” series and was released in 2013. When Zach Foster (professional baseball player) agreed to go into business with five of his best friends, he never expected for their little sports bar to evolve into a national chain, spanning all 50 states, but it did. This business helps to fill the void that’s in Zach’s life during the off season, however when he closes his eyes at night, he is still unable to forget that girl that left that gaping hole in his heart when she left him standing at the alter.
Lauren “Rennie” Alexander would do anything at all in order to fulfill a sick child’s wish. It’s not only her job, as the director of the Sky’s the Limit Foundation, however it is also her passion. So when her assistant brings her this letter scribbled in crayon, complete with this application from the young boy’s loving parents, Rennie is prepared to make another dream come true.
Until she realizes that this sick young boy’s dream is her own worst nightmare. He wants to meet Zach Foster, his hero. The same lying jerk that broke her heart. It appears that she has got no choice but to just take one for the team.
“Ryker” is the first novel in the “Steele Brothers” series and was released in 2015. Mackenzie Steele just assumed that she would be with her husband forever. He is still her best friend and the dad of her kids. However when the weeks turn into months without intimacy, she realizes that she is much to young to feel so old. She just wants to feel desirable again, to find that woman that Ryker fell in love with twenty years ago. And there is just one way to do that, by asking him to move out.
Ryker is blindsided when his wife tells him that she wants to separate. He knew that they had hit a rough patch, however he had never allowed himself to imagine his life without her. Now he’s got no choice. She seems to be much happier without him, living life on her terms, and he knows that if he does not find a place for himself in this new life of hers, it’ll be too late to save his marriage.
