Carre White is a USA Today bestselling author of historical and contemporary romances.

She published “An Unexpected Widow,” her debut novel in 2013, which was the first novel of the “Colorado Brides” Series of novels. The series follows the livs of several frontier women from the 1850s who travel West to find love and adventure.

The author’s “Colorado Brides” series went on to become a western and historical top 100 bestselling title. “Western Kisses” the romance anthology was also a very popular series that went on to become a top 100 bestseller on Amazon.

The author grew up in a very small town in Arizona and this is where she set the “Sonoran Nights,” which has the small-town feel that she has become associated with.

After she got married and had children, the family traveled a lot before they decided to settle in Colorado where they get to enjoy 350 days of sunshine. Carre now spends much of her time in Colorado, where she lives with her husband and two kids.

When she is not penning her blockbuster novels, she can usually be found exploring and traveling to new places. It is from these experiences that she pens most of her novels.

“An Unexpected Widow” by Carre White is the story of Hannah Hoffman Clark. She is the young and spirited wife of Frank Clark who is the only preacher in Denver City.

After they had arrived by wagon in the vast wilderness of the West, they had found some land to settle on, built a home, and began what they believed would be a prosperous and long life together.

However, their lives are changed when Frank gets into an accident and is left without feeling in his legs. Their dream of finally becoming self sufficiently quickly starts slipping away but that is just the beginning.

When her husband dies, Hanna is struggling to cope with the loss and relies on the people her husband used to be working with. Of particular importance is the drunk and inveterate gambler Nathan Weaver.

She is losing her tenuous hold on her sanity even as her connection with Nathan grows. But her family would be flabbergasted if she got married, let alone got into a relationship with such a man.

While he is crude and rough around the edges, his heart is in the right place and he loves Hanna even if she is the only one that sees it.

Carre White’s novel “An Unexpected Bride” is a sweet and chaster romance that tells the story of Paulina Hoffman. She had decided to go on an adventure of a lifetime having heard of how much success her sister Hannah was having in Denver City.

She embarks on the journey alongside an older couple as they head to Kansas. But she never imagined that Samuel Tucker the wagon master would be interested in her.

He is a handsome outdoorsman who is responsible for the group that has to guide and ensure their safety as they head up the Oregon Trail along the Platte River.

As the days turn into weeks and weeks into months, they are becoming closer. Their bond is strengthened even more when Paulina gets ill with cholera and Samuel takes care of her until she gets well.

The last thing he ever imagined was that he would fall in love with one of the adventurers. But as he saves her from disaster several times, he is unable to resist the pull that Paulina has on him.

He never intended to make a home in Denver City, but he may just change his mind given the tug on his heart.

“An Unexpected Annulment” by Carre White is the story of Louisa Hoffman. She has recently had to deal with a humiliating annulment of her marriage. She has vowed never to marry again as her reputation in New York is in tatters anyway.

Louisa heads to the Colorado Territory where she intends to live with Paulina and Hannah her happily married and well-settled sisters. In her determination to become a teacher in Denver City, she gets there only to be distracted by the kids of a neighbor.

Annie and her siblings are starving feral creatures who have been left to their own devices following the death of their mother. Their father too does not do much for them as he is given to the bottle as a means of dealing with his grief.

Louisa gets involved as she secretly starts feeding the kids. Soon their bond is growing ever stronger and when their father gets into a fight and is seriously injured, she takes over the household to nurse him back to health.

Through disappointment and loss, she realizes that she is starting to get feelings for Matthias. She had vowed to never fall or trust in a man ever again but she cannot fight the charm of the children tugging at her heartstrings.
