C. N. Crawford
C. N. Crawford is actually two people. They write their novels collaboratively, passing their laptops back and forth to edit each other’s words.
Christine is from Lexington, Massachusetts and has got a lifelong interest in New England folklore, with a fondness for execution histories and creepy old cemeteries.
Nick spent his whole childhood reading science fiction and fantasies during the long Vermont winters, which rendered him impervious to the cold. It may also explain why he is a scientist too.
Together they work to incorporate real historical figures and events into contemporary urban fantasy novels.
“Magic Hunter” is a short story in the “Dark Fae FBI” series and was released in the year 2016. Roan Taranis is a fae with a dark history, and when the corpses begin turning up all around London, things just get more complex for him. Making things worse, his closest buddy Elrine was just imprisoned by the king.
While he prowls around the Ripper-like crime scenes, fate puts him on a collision course with an FBI profiler named Cassandra, who works the murders. Cassandra has no clue the fae are involved in the murders. Roan knows much more than he lets on. In fact, he also knows quite a bit about Cassandra, too, and she just may be the key to assisting him to get his life back.
“Magic Hunter” is the first novel in the “Vampire’s Mage” series and was released in the year 2016. Rosalind lives for the hunt. Now however, she just may die for it. Her mission is a simple one: hunt down mages and demons. Since she is a member of the Brotherhood, she is dedicated to protecting the whole world from dark magic. Somebody has to stop the supernatural bloodlust, plus, hunting is a whole hell of a lot more exciting than her computer science courses.
Everything is going according to plan until she meets a mage in league with the demons, named Caine. He is scary as all hell and just as sexy. Worse still, he has brought her a warning: rumors have been spreading that Rosalind’s a mage, too.
Now, the Hunters have selected their next target. And it is her. Rosalind, in order to save her own life, has to form an uneasy alliance with Caine. However what if these rumors about her are true? If she cannot figure out who they can trust and quick, she will be exiled to the realm of the very demons she formerly hunted.
“Witch Hunter” is the second novel in the “Vampire’s Mage” series and was released in the year 2016. Bloodthirsty demons, a web of secrets, and a new nightmare. Humans are vanishing all over the city. Bloodthirsty shadow demons are starting to attack, and the Brotherhood want to go back to the old ways to control the chaos.
Digging down deeper into these sinister new threats. Rosalind teams up again with Caine, however this sexy incubus has been keeping big secrets from her. These are secrets that hold clues to her own personal history. And while she reveals the truth about herself, she realizes that she now has to risk her own sanity if she wants to save humanity.
“Blood Hunter” is the third novel in the “Vampire’s Mage” series and was released in the year 2016. Rosalind, with both her sister and best friend safe, has almost everything that she wants. The three of them are dreaming of a simple life together: a small cozy house out in the woods. If nothing else, it’d take her far from the beautiful incubus named Caine and the conflicted feelings that he inspires.
However when Drew, Rosalind’s psychopathic cousin, invades the vampire kingdom, it is then that the slaughter starts. He punishes her in the worst of ways. Now under siege, her former plans are in ruins. However she is out for vengeance with a new strategy, one that she has keep a secret from Caine. It turns out that Rosalind has got powerful magic all her own.
While Rosalind develops her terrifying powers, she has to control her darkest impulses. If she is unable to reign in the chaos inside her mind, the world is going to fall under the nightmarish control of Drew’s dark army.
“Divine Hunter” is the fourth novel in the “Vampire’s Mage” series and was released in the year 2017. All is fair in magic and love. Rosalind is getting ready for all out war with Drew, who wields god-magic with horrifying skill. However now Rosalind is learning to harness the god magic, too. When she encounters her cousin next, she wants to destroy him entirely.
Drew, unfortunately for Rosalind, launches a surprise attack on the vampire city. Torn from Caine, she is trapped in Drew’s sadistic world where she must do whatever he commands of her. However a quiet rage is simmering underneath the surface.
Drew believes he can control her, however she will do anything to be reunited with Caine, which is her seductive demigod. And when she does, she is determined to learn the full truth about him, and herself, once and for all. Gods-magic or not, she will figure out a way back to the vampire city. Because the cost of failure is going to be much too high for her, for Caine, and for all of demon-kind.
“Queen of Storms” is the first novel in the “Institute of the Storm Fae” series and was released in the year 2019. In the hallowed Storm Fae Academy, everybody’s got a secret. It sucks to be a supernatural fugitive, however as a fae witch, what can you really do? Just get on with things. Ignore all the elite fae assassins that rule the city. Just try not to freak out when one of them surprise you while you’re taking a shower. It’s the usual stuff.
However when the assassins capture Cora’s best friend, she will do anything to stop her friend from getting executed. This includes joining their academy. Now, as Cora secretly plots to break Wren, she is forced to finish a deadly set of trials. Failure means that one monstrous headsman murders them both.
It turns out that they have to train with a dragon blood fae. He is scary, powerful, and deadly attractive. And, like Cora, he is harboring some dark secrets. The worst thing of all about him? He is the monstrous headsman himself.
