Author C. M. Stunich cannot remember when she started writing; she has just always written. It is her passion and a big hobby of hers, and has been so as long as she can remember. She has many boxes in her garage, full of notebooks, some that date back to when she was a child. There are different kinds of stories, some written in crayon. She started typing up her urban fantasy novels on her computer while she was in high school.
She took a manuscript that she had written while in a creative writing course at University of California Santa Cruz. She thought little of it, because everyone always says that a career in writing is not really an option at all. You have to go to school and get a real job, and write when you have some free time.
She got a real job, working at Enterprise Rent a Car, working at their call center. She took calls concerning car reservations and was able to get herself a work at home position. It was nice for her, but not a job for her. She had a desktop and a laptop right next to each other, and would type stories in between calls. There was never much of a break, but caught a lucky break and got the graveyard shift for a little while.
She made the choice that she really wanted to write, due to the fact that nothing else was really working out for her. She tried such careers as paramedic and considered going to the police academy and getting trained as a teacher. It just was not right for her, and started sending publishers and agents query letters. She did not let the many rejection letters get her down. A co-worker from Enterprise, named Amanda Carroll (who designs her book covers) suggested that she try self-publishing her work. This was something that took some convincing for her. Eventually she did though.
She published three of her books, which sold about three to five copies per month. She did not want to stop what she was doing, though. She kept working at Enterprise all the while; that did not stop her from being laid off In July 2012. it made it so that she could hardly make her rent, which was worse than before.
It wasn’t until she tried a different tactic and channeled all the pain and heartache that she was feeling into the writing of “Tasting Never”. It was published right before Christmas that year from her mom to get to California. She was doing what she loved, and it did not matter that she could not afford gifts or decorations at her house.
Then things picked up, because “Tasting Never” started to sell well; this surprised her and made her wonder if it was really happening for her. By the end of January in 2013, she was making as much money as she did while at Enterprise.
She has written “The Bad Nanny” series, the “Triple M” series, the “Rock-Hard Beautiful” series, and the “Tasting Never” series.
“Tasting Never” is the first novel in the “Tasting Never” series and was released in the year 2013. Never has had her soul broken and does not date any nice guys. She cannot get to bed without crying herself to sleep. Needless to say, that she does not need anything to further complicate the life she has. Definitely not when it is attached to a certain man that might be her twin, emotionally speaking.
Ty McCabe cannot even stand Never when he meets her for the first time. He knows that she feels the same way. Neither one think that they will see each other again, but fate has other plans. It puts them both in the wrong place and at the wrong time. They are able to form a tentative friendship. It sheds the light on their dark sides to show them live in the light.
For such a short book, this sure does pack a big wallop for readers. Fans of the novel enjoy this for the way it is lovely and raw. It grabs readers from the very first sentence and does let go for a minute. You feel yourself rooting for Ty and Never and feel for them. The author is able to take the readers on quite the roller coaster ride here. Your heart will be warmed and broken; this is honest and beautiful.
“Finding Never” is the second novel in the “Tasting Never” series and was released in the year 2013. Ty McCabe and Never Ross have made it a long way, but now they cannot stop. Their pasts have gone nowhere, and are ready to devour them, if they do not confront them.
Going to visit Never’s family seems like the first thing to do, logically, but is that going to make it better or worse? Noah Scott, what about that? They are each other’s tortured halves, but can they provide the healing that each one needs? Ty’s past is still basically unknown. Never will have to make some decisions that are capable of breaking both of their hearts.
Fans of the novel like the way that Ty is able to be Never’s rock and lover, foundation and able to heal Never. This is despite his own tortured glory. You get a chance to see inside Never’s mind and the inner monologue she has with herself wrenches the heart and is quite telling.
“Keeping Never” is the third novel in the “Tasting Never” series and was released in the year 2013. Never may have her past under control, but Ty is now starting to fall apart. He gets a phone call from his ruined past. It makes tensions high between the two. It makes Never do something that she has never done before and not tell him about her being pregnant.
Ty sees to the skeletons that are in his closet, he is threatened by what he was and what he believed he overcame. His pain is close to devouring him, Never is the one that stand between Ty and relapsing. Is she up to doing it? Are two tortured souls that need healing, do they do more damage to each other than fix?
