Beaumont series by Heidi McLaughlin
Author Heidi McLaughlin pens the “Beaumont” series of romance novels. The series began publication in the year 2012, when “Forever My Girl” was released.
The series is set in Beaumont. The fourth released book in this series, called “Finding My Way” is a prequel to “Forever My Girl”, but the author wants it to be at number four.
“Forever My Girl” is the first novel in the “Beaumont” series, which was released in the year 2012. He was never going to be a rock star, and had his life all planned for himself. Play football in college, and then go to the NFL. Then, he marries his high school sweetheart and live happily ever after. He broke both of their hearts on the day he told her that he was leaving. He was young and was making the right choice for him, but the wrong call for the both of them.
He has poured all of his soul into his music, but never once did he forget about her. Her smile and her smell. Now he is going back, after ten years. He hopes that he can explain all of this after all that time. He is still looking for her to be his forever girl.
Readers quickly fell for this book right off the bat, feeling all choked up over all of the emotion in the book. Readers enjoyed this writing style, and wound up finishing the book in about three hours, which is when they knew they were going to love it. The book is simply gorgeous, and readers enjoyed the dual perspective that the story is told in, as it gives a fuller version of what happens.
“My Unexpected Forever” is the second novel in the “Beaumont” series, which was released in the year 2013. This novel stars Harrison and Katelyn. Harrison expected a life filled with music and to raise his own son. Just one look to make everything change, and never expected happiness.
Harrison never expected to find her, or to feel desire, or to be a family man. He never expected to be loved or to fall in love. They say you should always expect the unexpected, but he didn’t realize that his unexpected would be of the forever variety.
Katelyn is a likable character and you feel for some of the things she has been through in her life, as is Harrison, who is a great dad to his kid. Both of these characters help make this story feel like it was populated with real humans. The author is able to make this entire story feel alive and real and some readers found they forgot all about it being a story and how it didn’t happen for real.
“Finding My Forever” is the third novel in the “Beaumont” series, which was released in the year 2013. Everywhere he looks, his friends have been settling down, marriage, kids, and white picket fences. Not him, however. Marriage is nowhere in the cards for him, as he is a ladies man. A rock star, having been born and raised within the industry.
He loves everything about his life, particularly the attention from the women that his status brings his way. Women track him down, he is not the one that chases. He realizes what they want and they are aware they are going to deliver.
After a single look, a single night, and a single touch, he is the one doing the chasing. He needs to find a way to show that he is serious and can change. He must find a way to show that he is able to love her fully, and just her. He has to find a way to prove that she is his forever.
Readers found themselves finishing this one as quickly as they could, and found themselves loving this series that much more as a result of reading this one. Readers love the voice that Heidi gives to each one of her characters, as it is unlike any other author. These band members are clearly a family and come together to help one another out.
“Finding My Way” is the fourth novel in the “Beaumont” series, which was released in the year 2014. Liam Westbury has the world down at his feet. He is the very definition of a golden boy. He plays for Beaumont High and is the superstar quarterback. Josie, his girlfriend, is the head cheerleader. He has got his pick of colleges waiting for him. Except that Liam is really suffocating from all the pressure he is under but nobody understands.
Liam is the heartthrob that he never was looking to be. He is smart, successful, and in demand by both his adoring fans and record companies. Music is his passion and love, but there is something that is missing. His nights are too lonely and he longs for that girl he left behind him. He sees her face everywhere in every crowd and it haunts him with the knowledge that she really hates him. Going back home has never been an option before now.
Watch as Liam Westbury becomes Liam Page. Follow the lows and the highs of the Quarterback that became a Rockstar, while he finds his way back to Beaumont.
This book helped readers understand why Liam did what he did through reading this book. It fills in a lot of the blanks in Liam’s story and is told entirely from his perspective. You even get to get inside of Liam’s mind when he was a younger man.
“My Kind of Forever” is the fifth novel in the “Beaumont” series, which was released in the year 2015. Liam knows a life of solitude and music, but that all changed when he went back to Beaumont. This once notorious bad boy singer of 4225 West is now living the domesticated life with his high school sweetheart and wife, Josie, and Noah, their son. Life is good for this family, until Liam gets called back to Los Angeles and the place where things all began for him.
