The author is married and shares a child with her husband as well as a gigantic dog. Together they all reside in Baltimore. She says that in middle school she began writing in book margins and has not stopped since then.

She is now a best-selling author who enjoys writing contemporary romances that are not only cozy but have characters that are emotionally vulnerable in settings that are swoon-worthy. She likes to day dream about different characters doing different things. When she is not busy doing that, she loves spending time with her family at home and buying more books that in all likelihood she probably does not have the room for.

Two best friends decide that they are going to get a happy ending this holiday by dating each other, and only they will know that it’s fake. Lovelight Farms was supposed to be a magical place and a winter wonderland to Stella Bloom, but she is disappointed to find when she’s visited it that there are tons of dead trees, shipments have disappeared, and a family of raccoons have apparently decided to move into the Santa Barn and completely take it over.

Stella has loved this holiday tree farm and has been coming to this place ever since she was a child. So she wants to do everything possible in order to try and save the place. To do this, she decides to get into a contest along with Evelyn St. James, an influencer who is famous from Instagram. There is going to be more publicity than ever from doing this, and the chance to win the $100,000 prize.

If things go well, she might have a shot at saving the farm and turning all of its financial problems around. The only problem with this is that she has to be able to make the farm seem like there’s a romantic element to draw more people in for the holidays. So on the application, she decided to say that she owns the farms with her boyfriend. The only problem with this wonderful plan is that boyfriend does not exist!

Fortunately, Stella might have a good solution to this problem. Her best friend is Luka Peters, someone who she’s always been able to depend on. The poor guy only came around to get some hot chocolate, but he’s somehow inherited property and a girlfriend without doing hardly anything at all.

Still, the situation might end up working out to his advantage. He gets to spend some time with his closest friend, and that can’t be bad, right?
