Nora Roberts land is book one in Ava Miles’ The Dare Valley Series. True love does not exist as per journalist Meredith Hale’s ex-husband. But she is out to prove him wrong as he claims that his only addicted to Nora Roberts Land of true love.
Meredith had the dream of living a happily ever after with her husband as per her favorite book tells her. But the husband is against this and claims that she is living in a fantasy world. The same case applies to her mother who believes that she is on the wrong side of life.
She is called in to help in the Dare Valley Newspaper and sees this as the perfect chance to change things all over and prove them all wrong. Her goal is to find her Nora Robert hero and show the world that indeed true love exists which she will do through publishing a story about the same.
Tanner McBride is a war correspondent and has just returned home from work where he intends to work for a popular newspaper. As per tanner, betrayal or blackmail is the least of the things that he expects. Before he can progress forward, he is sent to Colorado for a major assignment. He is given the task to carry out blackmail for his boss. The task involves falling in love with the ex-boss’s wife and then breaking up with the lady. This is a plan by Meredith’s boss who intends to hurt her so that she can stop her quest and story and he does everything possible to leave tanner with no option but to carry out the mission.
Tanner proceeds with his mission and gets to Meredith. She had vowed never to give her heart out after being broken by her ex-husband but what follows between them is almost irresistible. Too many things unfold as they carry on with their work to the extent of nearly breaking her Nora Roberts land.
This is a story developed artistically making the reader have a smooth and fantastic time reading.
French Roast
French Roast is the second piece in Ava Mile’s Dare Valley Series. The story of two lovers who are trying to come back together but an intruder seems to thwart their efforts.
Jill since childhood has always been in love with Brian McConnell. However, during some point brain left her when he went to the city where he worked as a chef. Things did not go as planned for him as he, later on, comes back to dare valley to start all a new. Jill is determined to make things all over again as they were before Brian left for the city.
She plans to convince him to come into a partnership that will see them rebuild not only their love life but also their economic wellbeing. Brian is home to try and regroup and make his life all over from scratch. Brain agrees to the plan, and they kick off with their business which runs successfully. Apart from their business, their love life begins to regrow, and all seems to go well until Sashays appears. Sashays are Brian’s ex-girlfriend, and her sole mission is to sabotage what is growing between these two. More to this, a mysterious investor comes up encouraging Brian to get into the new deal.
This is a test of the love and bond that has been reproving on the return of Brian from the city. It is a fight between, love and seeking the new and more significant opportunities that have come up including the presence of sashays. Jill is also seen fighting tirelessly to keep what she has recently acquired.
The Grand Opening
The Grand Opening is the third book in the Dare Valley Series. Peggy McBride has suffered enough under men, and she is not willing to let another one come into her life. But she is about to lose all this with the entrant of a new man in town.
Peggy is a single mom and also functions as the new deputy sheriff in town. Mac Maven comes in town with the aim of reopening of the Grand Mountain Hotel. This time around it is supposed to serve as a boutique poker center, and this forms the bases for their interaction with the deputy sheriff. Though she seems somehow against this idea deep down him, he can feel some warmth towards this project.
Mac happens to have helped Peggy’s sister raising her teenage son which implies that he is well aware of her real character no matter how hard she tries to act presently. Tragedy brings Mac and Peggy together as they seek to unearth the person that is responsible for striking the hotel. As they work together, emotions take place, and they cannot resist each other and end up becoming more than just a pair that is after finding the person responsible for the attack. It is a hard task for mac who tries convincing Peggy to let go what has been a barrier between them in the past and concentrate on working on what is at present. Tragedy brings these two together, and as she continues fighting her emotions, it is practically impossible as she cannot deny her love towards mac.
Ava Miles is excellent at putting romance and suspense in a simple way for her readers. She also does a great job in bringing out the characters of her players in this story.
