Alexis Morgan is an American author of paranormal, romance and contemporary books best known for her Paladins of Darkness series. She schooled at the University of Missouri, St Louis where she received her B.A in English. She currently resides in Pacific Northwest together with her husband. Alexis has always loved reading and writing and lives in a world of strong alpha heroes and heroines seen in her books.

Alexis Morgan writes has authored over fifty books including over seven series and one standalone novel, The Bound which she coauthored with Michael Hauf. Her work has seen her receive a number of awards among them the RITA Award.

Dark Protector

Dark Protector ushers in the Paladins of Darkness Series. It introduces Devlin Bane a member of an ancient band comprising of warriors who have been locked in a war against evil for centuries. His mission is to protect the human race from a group of evil others, and his only control is his handler.
His handler is Dr. Laurel Young who is supposed to be the one responsible for him all through his life. The immortal warriors can at some time die, and it is her work to nurse him back to life so that he can support the fight against the evil “Others” at the barrier. She has spent a couple of years training on the same so that she is ready to assist him when he needs her. A large war is coming which is likely to turn Devlin into the same monsters that he is supposed to be fighting.

The handler is supposed to be wholly detached from their patients, but when it comes to Devlin, things seem to take a different turn. She is slowly draining into him even though she is fighting to stop this from happening. This is against the set rules but the chemistry between them takes her entirely off her work, and she falls in love with him while she is supposed to be purely a handler. Unconsciously, she is slowly absorbed into his world which is becoming dark and dark which is a high risk for the two. The war grows bigger while the two envelopes into each other something that can make things worse. Their only option now is to join hands and fight a fore that is darker and closer than they ever imagined. It is something that they were supposed to prepare for all their life but had their attention derailed from the same course by their inner desires. Overall it’s a great novel which is romantic and suspenseful. The flow of events will keep you locked all through the story.

Dark Defender

Dark Defender is the second book in her Paladins of Darkness Series. It is another dazzling paranormal series about a group of warriors considered immortal and the women that they love.

Blake Trahern is a paladin warrior and has fought in many battles to protect the humans from the evil Others. But as he struggles on, he feels that his humanity is slipping off from each battle that he takes part in and it is due to this that he decides to retrieve from the world. Twelve years ago, he vanished from Brenna Nichols, a lady he was in love with while she still was a teen. She is now a grown-up headstrong and sensual woman, but she needs her help. He comes back hoping to help her without leaving his heart with Brenna.

His coming back triggers a series of bitter events though Brenna still hopes that Blake will come back into her love life. She turns a blind eye to the discovery that she makes about her father and her only attention is Blake as love takes the more significant part of her due to his sudden reappearance. Together they search for the traitor that exists among the paladins who could bring huge havoc to the world that they have lived to protect. Things are about to grow bigger and deadlier as they prepare for a battle that could bring down not only their lives but their souls.

It is a uniquely crafted story with characters that will engage you all through the read. The romance, action and funny incidences in this piece will keep the reader attentive as they move with the characters to know what happens next to the end.

In Darkness Reborn

In Darkness Reborn is the third installment in Alexi’s Morgan Paladins of Darkness Series. It’s an incredible story on love for a woman with sworn allegiance to her enemies by a mysterious warrior.

The work of an Others warriors is strictly to defend their kind from the paladins, but occasionally some find themselves in love affairs that drain them from their course by some extent. This is the case that finds Barak q” Young where he finds himself trapped in a somewhat tricky situation. Lacey Sebastian is a geologist who is on her search for facts for the paladins. Barak on the hand is looking for the traitor who has been involved in selling gems, a commodity used to light the Others’ world.

As they come across each other, they begin getting attracted towards each other but at first, deny this feeling. Barak wants to help her, but inside him, there is a part yearning to have more of lacey. Lacey, on the other hand, is adamant to accept the fact that there is something that is cooking between them as her perception of him is one clouded by the darkness that is associated with the Others though she slowly lets it take place. He goes to the extent of keeping something that could aid the geologist in achieving her objective so that he can spend more time with her as love as already taken over the two.
When she is kidnapped, he has to go to whatever extent it takes so that he can save her which includes even risking his own life. He struggles with two loyalties that are between his course which is supposed to offer help to his people and to fall in love with an enemy of his people. As the story slides through, one can almost feel every part live as it is suspenseful and incredibly mind holding.
