Order of Blaize Clement Books

Blaize Clement (1932-2011) was an American author of mystery novels, as well as a romance novel as Lee Silvey. She wrote the Dixie Hemingway cozy mystery series, which has been inherited by her son, John Clement. Before becoming an author, she attended the University of Houston and Baylor University in order to become a clinical psychologist. She liked to write about how animals could be intelligent as well as noble. Her favourite author was Rudyard Kipling; she used to beg her children to let her read The Elephant’s Child to them, and even recorded herself reading it for her grandchildren.
Blaize Clement began her career as a published author in 2005 with Curiosity Killed the Cat Sitter at the age of 73. She spent the last few months of her life working on The Cat Sitter’s Pajamas and The Cat Sitter’s Cradle (along with her son, John) before succumbing to cancer.
