Kim Stanley Robinson
Kim Stanley Robinson is an American author of science fiction and alternate history novels. He is the author of the Three Californias, Mars and Capital Code (or Science in the Capital) trilogies. Robinson attended the University of California, San Diego and earned his B.A. in literature. The next year, he earned his M.A. in English from Boston University. Then, he returned to UC San Diego to get his PhD. Common themes in Robinson’s work include ecology and capitalism; his novels are known for their anti-capitalist stance. Kim is married to environmental chemist Lisa Howland Nowell, who he has two sons with. He lives in California.
