Order of David Housewright Books

David Housewright is an American author of crime fiction. He writes the Mac McKenzie and Holland Taylor series. He grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. In high school, he edited the high school newspaper, but was fired for an editorial against the Vietnam War. He received his degree in Journalism from the University of St. Thomas. Before becoming a novelist, Housewright worked as a copywriter for several advertising agencies in the Twin Cities. He also worked as a journalist reporting for the Minneapolis Tribune, Albert Lea Evening Tribune, Grand Forks Herald and more. He lives with his wife and fellow writer Renee Marie Valois in Roseville, Minnesota.
David Housewright became a published novelist in 1995 with the novel Penance, which introduced his Holland Taylor character and went on to win the Edgar Award for Best First Novel in 1996 and was shortlisted for a Shamus Award.
