Kidnapped at Christmas

Kidnapped at Christmas introduces The True North Bodyguards series. Samantha Colt, a journalist, finds herself tied to a post without the memory of how she got herself in such a position. By chance, she is rescued by an intelligent soldier who had been at her boss’s house. Together they go out on a venture to unmask the truth.

Samantha finds herself in a very tricky situation one morning outside her boss’s house. A scribbled note is the only piece of evidence that she has which also a warning is instructing her to avoid pushing further into something. Joshua Rhodes agrees to be her bodyguard as she feels threatened on waking up and finding herself in this position. He decides to be her bodyguard for a specific time before she can have a comprehension of what is going on here.

But Joshua cannot deny the fact that he is falling in love with this lovely reporter. But away from his feeling for the lady a lot more is about to come their way and if they do not outdo their tormentors more will befall them as they are already in this together. It is a battle for survival as love between the two becomes more and more as the story progresses. Samantha’s life is on the brink as her tormentors continue pursuing her and this implies that Joshua has to snap out of the holiday mood and protect her as she digs deep into her enemies or her life will come to an end.

The author is great at the plot and the relation of events from the beginning to the end holding her reader’s attention captive to the end of this book. One more thing that makes the reader incredible is how she puts the reader in suspense urging them to read through.

Rescue at the Cedar Lake

Rescue at the Cedar Lake is the second book in the True North Bodyguards. Theresa Vaughan is a therapist who has been called to attend to some patients, but it does not go as planned as she finds herself held captive by a killer and his only hope for survival is her former boyfriend.
Theresa innocently responds to a call for duty on one patient but ends up in a lake cottage in the hands of a killer as his captive. Alex has a huge task ahead of him, his sister’s client has disappeared. He tries convincing her to trust him to save her from the hands of the killer. He is confident that he will not fail as he still loves Theresa and will go to any extent to see that he rescues her successfully.

A massive snowfall has been forecasted limiting the time that he has before he can save Theresa. There are other people on the same lake, but he has to choose to rescue her by first getting to understand what the evil men want so that he can come up with a plan. It is a battle for love as the hero of this story tries to outsmart the captor and ensure that his ex-fiancé is free. Driven by the desire to prove his love and not concentrate on the past, Alex dives into action to aid Theresa.

Right from the start, the book is filled with so much suspense and action all the way to the end keeping you attentive and interested in what happens next. She brings out a journey of love that is filled with pain but the desire to set things out straight through the two main characters.

Protective Measures

Protective Measures is the third book in True North Bodyguards Series. James Darius is a navy commander. He has recently been windowed and once he realizes that someone is after his life and that of his two daughters, he is ready to go to any extent to see that they remain safe.

While at a military charity gala, an attack occurs and it is at this moment that it comes to his attention that someone is out there to kill him and his two daughters. He hires a beautiful bodyguard who is supposed to pose as his girlfriend to take away the attention of the killer and also offer protection. Zoe comes in with the intention of only protecting her client and nothing more but with time her heart changes direction when she starts attaching herself to the family.

Her original plan was only to offer protection to the family and pose as the girlfriend and nothing past that job description. The more they spend time, the more she grows closer romantically to James and also forms a bond with his daughters. This is a job description that she cannot handle no matter how hard she tries to avoid this from happening it keeps trickling back. Zoe, however, has a task, and her character is described as a dedicated individual who is willing to go to any extent to see that her clients remain safe even if it means letting her heart.

The character of James and Zoe merge, and once they begin loving each other, it is almost evident that the two will not part from each other and fight along to win the battles ahead of them as the story ages.

The author has artistically drawn the themes of love, both romantic and family incredibly. She also has a fantastic way of bringing humor into her story.
