Erin R. Flynn
Erin R. Flynn is a born Chicagoan and a Midwest girl at heart that has lived in several states which gives her this interesting perspective from which to write her characters.
Still a loyal Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan, she also cheers for the Illini (her alma mater) from her home. With Lord Vader Flynn (her canine editor-in-chief) by her side, she’s got no plans of stopping anytime soon and looks forward to new worlds and adventures on the horizon.
Erin has always been interested in the darker aspects of life and mythologies (particularly shifters, vampires, the occult, as well as anything paranormal).
With an addictive and eclectic personality, there is not much that does not interest her or she won’t pour herself into if it catches her fancy.
She’s released well over 100 paranormal books in different genres with dedicated readers that await every release to her numerous series under any of the three Flynn pen names that she writes under.
“Accidentally Wolf” is the first novel in the “Seraphine Thomas” series and was released in 2012. Special Agent in Charge Seraphine Thomas lives for her job at the FBI. She is one of the youngest female agents with a team of her own, she thrives in undercover work to make the city that she loves much safer. However Sera’s on-track life gets thrown into chaos after she gets attacked during this bust gone wrong and is left to figure out what it means to be a werewolf.
Immediately, she discovers that she is much more powerful and is able to do things that she shouldn’t be able to do so fast after her transition. The rules from her former life do not seem to apply to all that much at the moment now that she is a shifter, and knowing who she is able to trust makes it even more complicated.
When she gets transferred to this special branch of the FBI made up of paranormal policing others of their kind and given a promotion, things begin to look up, until her abnormal levels of power creates this list of enemies for her before she can even learn who her allies even are.
Seraphine Thomas is a crime series full of Chicago attitude and this strong heroine which pushes what most would believe a female lead is capable of, along with the heat that is involved with several men brings as she tries to figure out what it is she wants.
Erin delivers an intelligent, fast paced, and undeniably sexy novel that offers up plenty of suspense while they have a serial killer on the loose. The twist on what Sera is makes for something readers weren’t expecting nor used to. Especially with the Siren mythology you typically hear. It’s refreshing.
“Owned” is the first novel in the “Secure Settings” series and was released in 2013. Kate Boyle has lived through more loss than most people that are twice her age. She is strong and independent, so allowing people in to help her handle her grief or problems is next to impossible for her.
Kate is the owner of Secure Settings, a successful company, and devotes all of her time to keeping people safe and rescuing those that cannot save themselves. She gets the call that her grandpa has died and she has now inherited his ranch, this storm of epic proportions has just begun. She calls in this favor for help, since she is smart enough to know that she cannot watch out for danger as she grieves.
Dean and Jared Acker recently got out of the Marines and are just a little lost as to what will come next for them. So when they are asked to back up a friend of a friend, they are in. and they meet the woman of their dreams. Now, if only they could just convince her.
“The Turning” is the first novel in the “Dr. Kelly Murphy” series and was released in 2013. Graduate from medical school, begin competitive internship, do not get cut from the program, and become a surgeon. Such a great plan. One that Kelly Murphy loved and had been dreaming of for most of her life. And it all got blown to hell in just one night from an uninvited bite.
Now she is missing three whole days of her life, attempting to handle her freaked out best friend and parents that called the cops when she disappeared, all while she realizes that she is not the same person she was previously. She is different now. Like has got FANGS now different.
When he shows up on her doorstep claiming that he knows what happened to her, she is not all that sure it makes these things any less confusing. However he can at least guide her, yeah? Either way, she has got a plan and a choice that she did not make will not stop her. Even if she may have the urge to bite her patients from now on.
“Wounded” is the first novel in the “In My Dreams” series and was released in 2014. Gas station coffee is the highlight of Lily Slone’s boring outing until fate intervenes. Along with the barrel of a gun and one lost soldier that saves her life.
Jasper Hutson (a homeless Marine) was discarded by his own family after he returned from the war, and just reacted on instinct. However this single act brings him to Lily’s attention, and not merely because he saves her life. She sees something else in him, it’s something that nobody else sees.
Lily, refusing to give up on him when everybody else does, offers Jasper this place to stay and the chance to get back on his feet. This one offer is going to change her world. Once they grow closer and Jasper makes Lily’s life that much easier, she is not all that sure that she can return to living without him.
While life continues moving forward and they settle into their own rhythm, Lily learns something about Jasper that he has kept hidden. Is she going to continue to reach for her happily ever after or are they both going to stay wounded?
