Kathleen Ayers is a bestselling fiction author of steamy Victorian and Regency romances that have been very popular among readers.

She loves to describe herself as a Texas transplant originally from Pennsylvania who spends most of her summers trying to grow tomatoes in her back garden.

The author published “Wicked’s Scandal,” her debut novel and the first of the “Wicked’s” series in 2013. Kathleen now has more than nineteen novels to his name and does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

The author Kathleen Ayers got into writing when she was still very young. While she loved reading when she was a child, she would become a hopeful romantic when she was just 14 years old.
Ayers was introduced to romance when she went out with her mother to a neighborhood garage sale.

While her mother was looking at some interesting antique animal planters, Kathleen found and purchased a copy of Rosemary Rogers’ novel “Sweet Savage Love.”

She would then develop a love for romance and started dreaming of one-day telling stories. When she was older she continued to daydream but for a very long time, she was living in a fantasy world and never put any words on paper.
But things changed when she went to a writer’s conference and met all manner of aspiring writers that were very passionate about getting published.
She started getting very vivid pictures of her stories and characters in her mind and her certainty and confidence and herself began to grow.

Since she had always loved historical romance, it was not surprising that she ultimately made her debut in 2013 in the same genre.

Kathleen Ayers’ novel “The Theory of Earls” is a thrilling romance story set in the Regency era.

At the opening of the novel, Lord Welles is a handsome rake who uttered three words that left Margaret Lainscott speechless.

“The Design of Dukes” is the second novel of “The Beautiful Barringtons” series of novels by Kathleen Ayers.

The Duke of Granby thinks Lady Andromeda Barrington is one of the most unsuitable women in the capital.

He does not care about tainted pedigrees and bastard relatives and she is both. He also hates opinionated young women that often hurl insults his way, which makes Andromeda a huge annoyance.
When he throws a house party, she turns up uninvited and he does not know whether he should send her packing or kiss her senseless.

On her part, she believes she is the victim of bad luck and infatuation. The infatuation part involves her sister’s obsession with the Earl of Blythe.
Despite having been unpleasantly acquainted with the Duke of Granby, she decides to attend a house party he throws.

Their mutual dislike cannot be hidden and she knows the party will be awkward unless she can avoid him. The good thing is that the man lives on an enormous estate and she may never meet the ice-cold duke.
But when they meet upon her arrival, the mutual hostility turns into attraction as insults become flirtation, and in the place of heated discussions are lingering kisses.

Kathleen Ayers’ novel “The Marquess Method” is another interesting novel in “The Beautiful Barringtons” series of novels.
The lead in the novel is a woman named Lady Theodosia Barrington who by her actions seems he is begging to be ruined.

The Marquess of Haven thinks her an idiot after he watches her at the house party thrown by the Duke of Granby. The Marquess’s father had left him with nothing but a crumbling estate and a title but now needs an heiress.
Theodosia happens to be a beautiful woman and fabulously wealthy too even though she is a Barrington. She is the sister to Leo Murphy and the Duke of Averell who he believes are responsible for many of his estate’s and his own financial troubles.
On her part, she has long had an infatuation with the Earl of Blythe. Trying to show him her affection and maybe induce him to seduce her, Theodosia paints a portrait of herself which she presents to Blythe.
The small gift is not very proper for a woman of her stature and immediately after she sends it she starts having regrets about her actions.

In desperation, she tries to save her reputation and makes a rash decision to go to Blythe’s home to retrieve the miniature portrait.

But at the house party, she does not meet him and instead, she bumps into Haven who be her own ruin.
