Rachael Thomas
Author Rachael Thomas grew up in the Midlands, however once she moved to Wales, she finally found a place she could put down roots. She married into this loving farming family and embarked on a massive learning curve that saw her also learning Welsh when her two kids were small.

Writing is something that Rachael has always wanted to do and is still able to remember the thrill of one of her short stories being held up as an example to her class at the age of nine. It was not until her own kids were in school that she seriously began pursuing her dream. She joined a local writing group that met each Monday in the afternoon and being with like-minded people was just the boost that she needed.

Reading romance had always been her first love, and pretty much every short story she wrote was a romance, so she decided to pen her first novel. During this process she also went to her first weekend writing course with Kate Walker and joined the RNA’s fabulous New Writers’ Scheme.

A short time after that, Rachael joined Romance Writers’ of Australia and learnt quite a lot from entering into their competitions. She sought out courses and you can just imagine her joy when she found Sharon Kendrick’s course in beautiful Tuscany.

Rachael loves escaping to distant shores with her characters, entering into their glamorous worlds and feeling all of the emotions that they experience while they discover their love for one another. A love that is so strong, it’ll overcome all obstacles eventually, and leads to that promised happy ever after.
