Bree Wolf
Bree Wolf, an award winning and USA Today bestselling author, has always been a language enthusiast (although not a grammarian!) and is rarely found without her fingers glued to a keyboard or a book in her hands. Trying to find her own way, she has taught English as a second language, worked at a translation agency, and traveled abroad, as well as a law firm in Ireland.
Bree also spent some long years obtaining a BA in English and Education and her MA in Specialized Translation all while she wished she could simply be a writer. Even though there’s nothing that simple about being a writer, her dreams have come true.
She has found a home in the historical romance genre, writing Regency novels and novellas. While enjoying the mix between fiction and fact, she sometimes feels like a puppet master (or mistress?) forcing her characters into ever-new situations which will put their beliefs, their strength, and their love to the test, hoping that in the end they will triumph and get the happily ever after we’re all looking for.
Bree just has ideas pop up and then develop further until she’s no idea where they even came from. They are like dreams in this way. After she has woke up, she cannot remember what they even were.
“Fireflies” is the first novel in the “Heroes Next Door” series and was released in 2013. He is lonely and so is she. Can just a single summer change both of their lives?
Gabriel Scott, unheard and unseen, retreats from both of his parents into this computer world of companionship and adventure. However, once he’s forced to spend the entire summer with his grandparents, he realizes finally that the digital world could never compete with the real one.
While the neighbor children invite him along, he steps out into the world for this adventure that he never could’ve imagined. A treasure hunt guides them all over town while they do their very best to solve one riddle after the next. On their way, they meet Hannah, this young girl forbidden from leaving her room.
Gabriel soon learns her secret, and before too long, the treasure hunt isn’t the greatest challenge that’s presented to him that year. Is this summer going to change him? And what happens when the summer is over? Is Gabriel going to return back home to parents that hardly even notice him? Or is he going to fight for his right to happiness?
“Forgotten and Remembered” is the first novel in the “Love’s Second Chance: Lords and Ladies” series and was released in 2015. Duke of Kensington, Graham Astor, is finished with love, and Rosabel Lander never even believed in it, anyway. However when Graham needs some help raising his daughter and Rosabel has to leave her uncle’s family, can they find a happy and new life with each other?
England in 1802. Graham Astor is a beast and he knows it. Consumed by misery and loss, he has no desire or need for company or anything else that polite society has got to offer him. What he really needs is a wife, not for himself, but as a mom to his child, and it would seem that he has found the perfect young and timid wallflower for the job. A woman that will make no demands of him. A woman that will just leave him alone with his pain.
After her ruthless uncle informs Rosabel that she’s to marry the brooding, dark, and recently widowed Lord Kensington, horror steals into her heart. Without any other better options, she quickly finds herself being tied to a guy that refuses to speak to her. A man whose cold gaze sends chills down her spine. A man that is utterly displeased with her very presence.
But, while Rosabel and his daughter grow closer, Graham quickly realizes that his new wife is a far cry from the timid wallflower he believed her to be. For Rosabel possesses a gentle strength that he can’t just ignore, and with every passing day, her tender joy and kindness become more difficult to resist. He soon finds himself longing for the very thing that he fears the most: Rosabel’s love.
“Despised and Desired” is the first novel in the “Love’s Second Chance: Tales of Damsels & Knight” series and was released in 2016. Frederick Lancaster, a war hero, never intended to become the Marquess of Elmridge. Once his mom picks spinster Ellie Munford for his bride, he never expected romance, however together they have to find love and healing in one another’s arms.
England 1806. Frederick Lancaster comes back from the war with France a broken man, and is guilt ridden from the loss of his friend that has been like a brother to him his entire life. Then tragedy strikes once again, plunging Frederick into a darkness he fears he won’t ever escape, and forces on him this life he never wanted.
As the Marquess of Elmridge, he’s duty bound to find a wife and father some heir. But once this task gets completed, he will be free finally to return to the battlefield and end his whole miserable existence. A sound plan if there ever was one. At least until his mom picks Elsbeth Munford for his bride.
Her beauty’s been tainted by ugly scars, after this accident which almost took her life, ensuring her a place on the shelf as far as society’s concerned. She’s remained a vivacious and caring young lady, that refuses to give up on herself or anybody else. Least of all her new husband, a guy she’s loved in secretly for as long as she can remember. Before he even knows what’s happening, he catches himself thinking about this new bride of his night and day. Her unfaltering strength and gentle kindness call to him, stir up his pulse and awaken this long forgotten yearning for life and love.
However what about the final step in his plan? Is Ellie going to find herself a widow soon? Or is Frederick going to risk it all and open up his heart to her?
