Fiona Faris is a bestselling American author of Scottish and Medieval historical romance fiction.

Before becoming a romance fiction author, she had worked in a variety of occupations. Some of these include dog training, programming and substitute English teachers.

She has often said that of everything she ever did, nothing can compare to her stories depicting the mysterious and majestic Scottish highlands.

She got into the writing of historical Highlander romances following her visit to the Scottish highlands alongside her husband.

Faris published “Abduction of a Highland Rose” her debut novel in 2018 and has never looked back since.

She has now become one of the most prolific authors in the genre with more than 70 works of fiction to her name spread across several series, omnibus editions, and single-standing novels.

Her novels have over the years received rave reviews for their romance, darkness, and humor.

Fiona Faris currently makes her home in Dallas, Texas where she lives with her family.

“Her Highland Secret” by Fiona Faris is a bodice-ripping and rip-roaring work set in the Scottish highland.

The lead is Emma who finds herself in a bad situation given that her father owes a ton of money to Commander Evans for gambling. Her father tells her that she would have to marry the vile man to pay the debt but she does not intend to sit on her laurels.

While she is being sent to Evans, one of the wheels of the carriage breaks and she takes the opportunity to escape by appealing to a Scottish couple who agree to help her as long as she never sets foot in their barn.

It turns out that in the barn is the new leader of the McGill Clan, Lucas MacGill, who needs to head back home as soon as he can. However, he first needs to recover from battle wounds he got fighting the British at Dunedin.

This is where Emma comes in since her mother is a healer and she knows everything about how to take care of wounds. However, by staying at the barn, they are endangering everyone and hence they are sent to Clan McGill Castle.

What will happen when love begins to bloom between the two coupled with a common goal of defeating Evans?

Fiona Faris’s novel “Her Highlander’s Heart” opens with a battle action scene between the English and the Scottish Jacobites.

Nathan’s father was killed by his relatives and witnessed by Gavin who is Milly’s twin brother and Thomas their friend. Before they could tell his clan of what happened they were thrown in prison.

Nathan was next in line to become a Laird but had been facing stiff competition from Elias his sinister cousin.

When Milly got to Mackenzie Castle she never expected that she would be getting a marriage proposal from a man she hated above everyone else.

She would never agree to marry Nathan Mackenzie but he seems the only one that could help get her twin brother Gavin from prison.

On his part, Nathan Mackenzie never wanted to be Laird but since his father died he had to take a role he was unprepared for. But since he cannot let Elias Mackenzie his greedy cousin win he agrees to become laird.

He does not like Milly but if she agrees to marry him he will have solved his problem with his cousin and will be willing to help her with her problem.

Will they be able to put their misgivings aside so that they can achieve their ends and maybe have a chance at a happily ever after?

“Her Broken Highlander” by Fiona Faris is a fascinating addition to the “Highlanders of Cadney” series of novels.

Gavin MacGille suffered cruel torture at the hands of his enemies and just about everyone thought him dead. Desperate to get away, he comes up with a brilliant plan but has to sacrifice his chance at freedom to save an angelic woman.

He is a broken man and nothing like what he was when he is ultimately released. The woman he rescued is Amelia Pearson who is determined to get to the bottom of her family’s mystery.

When she arrived at MacGille Castle to see her sister she never imagined that she would bump into the handsome man that had once saved her life.

Gavin has a traumatic past to deal with but he knows that he needs to save her from himself and others.

Will they be able to leave the past behind and unearth their deepest feelings?
