About Clarissa Wild
The author Clarissa Wild is well known for her bestselling romance novels that really capture the attention of the reader. Becoming a household name for many around the world, she’s achieved a high level of literary status quite unlike any other. Her books have proven to be hugely entertaining, making the most of the contemporary romance format, allowing her to say exactly what she wants to say. Setting herself apart through her unique and idiosyncratic perspective, her work completely speaks for itself, with compelling plots that keep her audience reading all the way.
Using elements of dark romance in her novels too, she’s afraid to deal with certain topics and subject matter either. All this whilst making sure her books remain entertaining and accessible to readers from all around the world, regardless of their background. Writing in a style that is direct and to the point, she has a grounded and down-to-earth manner which really works in her favor. This level of directness not only immerses her readers, but also allows the stories to come alive on the page, staying with the audience long after they’ve put the book down.
Her use of characters is also highly engaging, as each of her protagonists feel wholly real, as they’re fully fleshed out and three-dimensional. With fully formed personalities, she really gets inside each of them, regardless of whether they’re secondary of primary characters. Readers feel like they really get to know each of them, staying with them, and making sure they continually come back for more. Over the course of her writing career she has built a profile that continues to grow to this very day, and will carry on for quite some time to come.
Early and Personal Life
Born and raised in the Netherlands, Clarissa Wild grew up with a love and passion for literature, exploring the art and developing her craft. This interest would continue over the years, as she would come to find her own voice and perspective as a full-time writer. Growing up with Asperger’s Syndrome too, this would be another aspect to her life, as she would continue on to writing dark and contemporary romance novels.
Always on the lookout for new and exciting ideas to help inspire her and her work, she’d constantly be drawing inspiration from the world around her. Using many of her own experiences, she’d constantly be refining and honing her craft as a novelist, fully establishing her voice as an author. Currently living with her husband and their son, she continues to put out work regularly, with lots more planned for publication in the near future.
Writing Career
In 2013 Clarissa Wild would publish her first romance novel titled ‘Blissful Volume 1,’ and it was the first in the three part series of ‘Blissful’ titles. The second two books would come out later that same year, and it would introduce her to the reading public at large for the first time. She would also release her novel ‘Doing It’ that year too, which would be a single title in a romance series of the same name.
Other series that she would go on to write were titled ‘Fierce,’ ‘Delirious,’ ‘Company,’ and ‘Indecent Games,’ to name just a few. There would also be single titles such as ‘Ruin’ in 2016, along with omnibus editions bringing many of her books and series together. Contributing to other series alongside other fellow writers too, she’s gone on to become a USA Today and New York Times bestselling author reaching readers from all around the world.
Happy Forever After Darkness
This novella would mark the second part to the fifth book in ‘The Company’ series of novels, following on from ‘Viktor.’ First published on the Kindle back in 2016, it would come out on the 11th of December that year, continuing an ongoing arc. Many of the characters and couples would be returning, meaning that the series is best read in order to get the most from it.
Featuring four couples with their fates intertwined with one another, this book looks at four different stories in total. Linking them all together is an evil business empire which brings each one of their stories together on different terms. With a new revelation on the horizon for them all, it appears that things are going to be drastically changing for each of them. Can they each overcome this together, what will they discover, and will they end up happy forever after darkness?
More of a novella, this is a shorter inclusion in ‘The Company’ series, as it also incorporates a number of bonus epilogues too. Bringing in characters from previous books in the franchise it’s best that it’s read in order to enjoy the full context of their individual stories and narratives. There’s plenty of eroticism, which has become an overall staple of the series so far, and this book is no different in its depictions of sexuality.
Hotel O
Initially published on the Kindle platform in 2018, this would be a stand-alone title released on the 26th of April. Featuring a lot of graphic content, it’s aimed squarely at adults, with strong depictions of sexuality featured throughout. The story itself features a couple finding themselves in the eponymous ‘Hotel O’ of the title, learning about each other and their own sexuality.
This story focuses on the characters of Kat and Declan, as the two of them embark upon a journey of sexual exploration together. Working as event coordinator at Hotel O, Declan offers guests a whole range of different services, whilst Kat is finding her own way in the world after leaving the shelter of her parents. Discovering a website that caters to different erotic tastes, Kat finds herself in the embrace of Declan, as the two learn about boundaries and themselves. Where will they journey take them, how will their passion for one another fare, and what will they both discover together within the confines of Hotel O?
This stand-alone title definitely doesn’t hold back, as it’s extremely direct in its depictions of sex and sexuality throughout. There’s a lot of eroticism as the sex is graphically depicted, with lot of kink and fetishes shown as the couple come together. Towing the line on boundaries and consent, it makes sure to deal with them in a sensitive manner, never crossing any boundaries into difficult territory.
