Order of Lovejoy Books
Lovejoy is a series of picaresque novels by British author Jonathan Gash (John Grant). The title character is a shady British antique dealer from East Anglia. As a divvie, he has a talent for eyeing the value of antiques as well as noticing which ones are forgeries. The series was adapted into a television series that aired from 1986 until 1994 starring Ian McShane.
Jonathan Gash began his Lovejoy series in 1977 with the novel The Judas Pair. There are 24 novels in the series, with the most recent one being 2008’s Faces in the Pool.
